Yup. He would walk in and be starting RT day 1. Also to the guy who said he hasn’t progressed, I believe he missed 4 weeks this year because of contact tracing. Not injury as suggested

Save it Jimbo. He chose Tennessee. Get up off your knees!

I’m not saying he wouldn’t start day 1. But it’s not guaranteed with returning starters.
Transfers generally go where they will start immediately.

He was injured too
Just ask the tenn fans.
They said their offensive line coached screwed him up pretty bad.
I'd def take him and let him compete for a spot

If we have the spot, by all means he's worth it. The question is why the inconsistency. Injury is part of it; but only a partial explanation.
Another part is their development via management (i.e. playing time, at the right time). Seemed like every time he would get continuous time TN would pull him or shuffle the OL up which threw them into assignment disarray. So time where he should be learning to get better, was wasted essentially. I didn't pay too much attention to them this year, but the prior two years it seemed like sometimes they would change up things just for the sake of change (no real reason or goal in mind).
Some of it is him. He gets really sloppy at times and his technique just goes to pot. This is one of Hines' issues and Wanya is far worse with the gulf between playing with good form/technique and just becoming a lump of meat in the way. So if don't like how Hines goes through stretches where he is ineffective, you're going to hate Morris.
But, I'd like to see if Cregg can correct some of this. If it is anything other than attitude then there's a legit shot. As much as people [here] hate on him he has straightened out a couple of players bad form. His issue might be conditioning, which may or may not stem from attitude. If so, might want to skip on this for a ground-up project (e.g. Moko).
I don't think we'll have the extra spot though. And if it is a choice between Moko and Morris, I'd choose Moko. Personally, if we were going to grab a transfer OT Crawford was the one we needed and had the highest upside. But that's neither here nor there.
He's going to take one look at our depth chart, and unlike posters here, see us sitting pretty good at OT and not want to compete with 3 established players (Wire, Rosenthal, and Deculus), 1 OT who is likely be taking minutes away from him (Dumervil), and a 4th OT starting at the same square but with a leaner frame and better mobility (Dellinger). He's going to look at our roster and think he's going to have to beat out 4 players, maybe 5, to even get time. And even though he's got 3 for 3, he's probably looking to make the jump after next year to the NFL.
I said in another post it isn't a good "fit". That's why. Between fixing him, our current depth, and his personal goals we probably look pretty bad to him and he looks like a lesser of limited choices to us.

Something is seriously wrong with you

Im with you on moko and agree with pretty much everything you said.
Wayna morris gets very sloppy but he has the talent. Same with hines.
Hines misses too many assignments for my liking

Good luck to him. The staff needs to focus on what’s ahead in 22- Campbell and one or two other in-state guys and hopefully at least one good out of state catch.
