JJ has already earned way more than were paying him....all the coaching will be for free....he has earned twice what he makes in recruiting....we are all witnesses to the rise of a sleeping giant of a program......remember this time b/c in a few years it will be hard to think of how far we have come from

I can't help but think of the 2 week meltdown after he was hired.

Now people are kissing his shoes.

I was on board since day 1, but Im an optimist. And I love people with passion and I knew he was a Tiger who wanted to be remembered as a Tiger.

That being said, I think this commitment today is the first step to national prominence. At least national relevance which is a great start for a team who hasnt really made much of a name for the program in the past 20 years.

Im all in.

I remember saying I still don't know if he can recruit or coach but I want people at LSU who want to be at LSU. That's always been my mode so I knew I'd give him a chance.

Recruiting he proved he can do...

Now he has to coach. I'll report on this soon enough.

This is what will set him apart. He's selling something he believes in.

I know quite a few people, myself included, didn't like the hire because of the connection to Dale Brown and the way he burned the program to the ground. For me, it was an association thing. That said, I'm on board and have been for some time.

Thankfully I was not apart of that group.

I was not sold on JJ when he was hired. I wanted to take the wait and see approach.

I like what I see so far

I don't know too many fans whow were critical of JJ, most were upset that LSU seemed to miss an opportunity to get a high profile coach after the Trent failure.

Glad to see an LSU guy get a shot and even happier that he's gotten off to such a fast start. This caliber of class in 1st year is absolutely unbelievable.

Now looking for a way to get to a game this year, but nothing in the NC area...

Maybe not a national championship, but I could see us in the playoffs. How well we would so, different story, but I think we could make it.

I thought we should have gone after and been turned down by bigger fish before settling with CJJ. However, I will always support the Tiger athletics and coaches and have done so.

That being said, CJJ has worked his arse off and I'm very proud of the job he's done so far. This season will be a tough one, but the future looks bright which is not what we had under the former coach.

CJJ!!!

When Jones was hired I was bummed it wasn't a "big name" but felt it would be a good thing because this is truly his dream job.

Who better to sell your program and LSU?

I wanted JJ hired before TJ was hired. People
on here thought I had lost my mind. Can't go
wrong with someone that loves LSU like JJ does.
Geaux Johnny!
