What’s the general consensus on this kid?

Seems like a mix of ppl on this board who think he’s not a much of a loss & some that say he’ll be great & we missed out on him?

He’s a cut above most pitchers we are looking at.

Very talented pitcher who would have been a high draft pick. Just depends on how he develops on the next level.

Hopefully he stays in school and continues his edge-ucaion. I know his relationship with his high school was a little choppy. They should have just cut to the chase and talked it out over a slice of pie.

The knife jokes are pretty offensive to people with a sense of humor.

He's taking a stab at Norman.

But it feels like he stuck to us!

Jay told him to bounce. Can’t bring a knife to a gun show.

This isn’t true. Not sure exactly when things changed, but it had to be in the last month or so

It changed after the draft finalized regarding our potential signees.

I think that’s the point of this thread more than anything. Been on the edge of my seat awaiting new ones.

A couple years ago this kid was projected as a no-doubt MLB signee as I recall? Seems like Schmidt coming to LSU made him look for more immediate opportunities than LSU could offer?

Then it's either Schmidt or the LHP Williams that ultimately pushed him out, to make the numbers work.
