Why would Bisantis come and go from starter to backup? Unless a starter is leaving then this doesn’t make sense

This makes the most sense

Not a huge name but one of your starting corners against USC.

I don't see LSU being a factor in any Walter Nolen recruitment.

He didn't stay in Eugene, OR long. Hope he hangs out in BR for MUCH longer....like a year longer!

I hear you. But he’s the incumbent and if anyone battles him it’ll likely be Chester

I hope bisontis comes but you’d think he’ll be able to go somewhere and immediately be penciled in as a starter

Shea already said they aren't looking for a starter so no QB would be a big visitor.

People still don’t get that Denbrock system takes time o understand. No transfer will beat Nuss out on scheme competency. Nuss is the guy next year.

This narrative is so 2021. Turner is the center for a line that’s a finalist for the Joe Moore award. He was the Outland Trophy National Player of the week and later the SEC lineman of the week this season.

Several have talked about him as under the radar guy that will get drafted. If he comes back, our oline should be the best in the country.

Yea agree it’s gotta be way bigger than that

How is getting a day 1 starting corner not big? LSU needs to close on a player who is proven in the SEC he is a real deal DB. Look how much of a difference Bernard-Converse made just with 1 season. This is a massive get for the program and helps immediately in a position of need.

OM pushing ALL their chips in for next season with Dart, Judkins, etc. With their portal adds, they will be a formidable team. We NEED to beat their arse...

That, and the SEC gave them and Mizzou the easiest schedules next year, by far.

Fair enough. I will also say that the interior of this year's offensive line had great difficulties in run blocking. It definitely showed with our ability, or inability, to run between the tackles on any sort of consistent basis. We have to get tougher with our IOL.

It’s Richardson. He was supposed to be flying to aTm but came to BR instead. Per Shea @ On3.

Unfortunately, Lane may also be building a good defense to go with his dynamic offense.

Yeah but he’s still Lane… cannot get over the hump against elite or very good teams. Thats never going to change

Turner has improved over the last season and other than the Bama game, he was very consistent at keeping the OL organized and getting protections set. That said, even with the added weight and muscle, Turner is still a little undersized and isn’t a great blocker. He’s good and is no longer a weakness, but not great or a strength.

As much as Denbrock’s offense relies on pounding the middle in the run game, we could really use a better blocker in that spot who can consistently take on doubles or push a single DL back to open a hole. Against SEC competition, Turner can hold his ground. But he’s not able to push most SEC starting DTs around.

Chester certainly has the measurables to be a stronger and more physical blocker and has looked solid when called upon. Hopefully he’s ready to step in if Turner leaves. If the staff does target a C in the portal, that would indicate they don’t think he’s quite ready to be the starter.

Personally, I think Turner will move on and Chester will take that job, but that’s just a guess. We’ll see.

We should all agree we need better than Turner.

Next year we need a running game other than the QB. We need some road graders...
