Update from SCar 247 site: Mom is blocking the LOI

"Columbia (S.C.) Hammond five-star defensive end Jordan Burch reaffirmed his plan to sign with South Carolina yesterday at his school's ceremony. Following the event, the 6-foot-5, 275 pounder signed his national letter of intent with South Carolina, but it was not faxed over to the university. I am told Burch is 100 percent sure of his decision and fully plans to attend South Carolina. However, his mother has not given her permission for the NLI to be sent over to the Gamecocks. It is unclear if or when she will grant that permission. I am also told his mom is on board with him attending South Carolina, so her reason for not allowing the letter to be sent is unclear. I will continue tracking this as best I can throughout the day and going forward, if needed."

USCe is starting to piss me off with this crock of shite, Gamecock Steve on the SEC recruiting board too. At first I just wanted Burch because he’s a great player and I want the best for LSU, now I want him just to spite those sumbitches in South Carolina

Because Jordan doesn't want to go to USCe. They like USCe, have friends there but USCe football program is a dumpster fire and Muschamp will be fired in one to two years. They are just trying to mitigate the hurt feelings. Probably not the best way to go about it but this appears to be what is happening. Meanwhile Jordan and his mom have fallen in love with Coach O and the LSU football program and now that's where he wants to go. But his kind heart is making this more complicated than it needs to be.
