I didn't watch the game but reports weren't great on Dom from posters. But I did watch some 1 on 1 practices, and he pretty much kicked arse in those events...

Did they say these things about dom BEFORE he committed?

He may not understand his job. Good coaching should address this.

I'm not gonna begrudge your opinion regarding the rest of your post but you do not want to make this bet if someone agrees to take you on it. All 3 major sites have him as the best DL there, above another 5* and his rankings already would make him a composite 5*. He's going to rise. Guarantee you he will be a 5*, across the board.

What!!!! As I mentioned yesterday, he WAS doubled a VERY FEW times. But MOST of the plays, #54 had him ALONE in the first half and #78 had him ALONE in the second half. You didn't watch the game I saw. Oh, and as far as his teammates making good plays, that is Team Ice had 33 points AT HALFTIME! Admittedly, there were 2 pick 6's but the Fire DL was nonexistent. The best player I remember from that DL was #99 (not on McKinley's line rotation...a hockey term ). He is Joseph Jonah-Ajonye a Georgia commit.

You made the claim above. I quoted your claim in the post you responded to. Once again, you questioned my and other's motives. Once again, I'm calling bullshite on your claim!

I think it’s a combination of things.

Coaching/ technique, his ability to sustain high level play, his ability and even enthusiasm to take on double teams.

On occasion this changes when they get college training, strength, improved technique, teammates to help etc. and sometimes it doesn’t. That’s why it’s so hard to project these guys. He has all the natural talent in the world and will absolutely flash at the next level but does he have the drive to be that OL eater throughout a game? I hope he does but it takes a lot of work and determination.

That’s what takes these guys so long to have an impact. We RS almost all of our QBs, OL, DL and LBs. Except the guys who are truly special and can make an impact as a freshman. You have them, it’s just rare. Those HS rankings can’t tell you how individual kids will grow and respond to the transition. Just get the best to LSU with the abilities, size, quickness needed and some will quickly transition, some will take time and some won’t at all.

Those positions are extremely hard to transition from HS to college. Especially in the Covid era where you’re playing against so many guys with 4 to 6 years of experience. He could transition well and play well his freshmen year, it’s all up to him.

One of Maason Smith's biggest weaknesses (plays too high) is one of Dom's strengths.

I have said Dom was not worthy of 5 stars due to his inconsistency and apparent lack of effort at times. It had nothing to do with his potential. He certainly looks the part of a 5 star and has 5 star athleticism.

If he shows up at LSU as the guy he showed to be against national competition this week in Orlando, he will have more of an impact at LSU than Smith.
