Wouldn't you want police to call you if they found your 15 year old daughter having sex with someone?

-----------------------------------------------------------

And yet the law disallows parents from being advised anything from their physician / provider if their 13 year old is prescribed contraceptives therefrom . . .

What's wrong with the contrast that makes up that big picture?

This is a fact. Plenty of cops do not even know the law any better than the average civilian. Scary but true.

This is very true but also very easy to understand if you think about it. Law enforcement officers most of them never attended law school and many never finished college which neither is needed or required to be a good law enforcement officer. They don't get it right all the time but our system lets the DA's office handle the situation during the next step.

Once a older wise attorney told me " the law always seems to basically follow common sense" and it does.

On a side note, Trey Lealaimatafao was kicked off LSU's team. Crap.

Whats not to understand with consensual?????

What if it’s an 8 year old who “consents”? The law DOES need to be changed, but don’t confuse the issue by saying consent makes it okay. We need a common sense table of ages that establish consent as viable. For example, a 16 year old can consent to sex with an 18 year old, but a 14 year old cannot. And that same 16 year old cannot consent to sex with a 40 year old.

Why is a thread about a kid, who never got an LSU offer, being arrested in November of 2017 still on the first page of this board. It has no purpose here.

So dumb. Why were the police even asking questions regarding the nature of their relationship? That's just a senior and a sophomore. Not really a big deal. I could see the police getting involved if the girls parents called them.

Exactly! Because they are dirty! Now, this young man calls for help. And the no good police officer decides to ask them personal questions unrelated to the car stalling. And the nerve to arrest this young man during the holidays! Those Dirty Bastards!!

Oh yeah? Then, why they didn't teach their kid that the po-po don't take too kindly to brothers messing 'round with white girls in Livingston Parish?

I think the law should be 15, or the older one’s age minus 10, whichever is higher.

Jesus dude, are you telling me if I'm 60 I can't bang anyone below the age of 50?

The law probably needs to be changed.

This should not be a legal issue.

And a simple tweak to 3 years difference would probably do the trick. A 19 year old and a girl who is not yet 16 should raise plenty of eyebrows, but a Senior and a Sophomore is almost the rule, not the exception. And a kid being 18 and still in HS isn't a red flag either (19 would be).
