What would you do with an in State that commits out of State then changes mind and wants back in after you take commit from another kid?

well that certainly toughens the question but hypothetically lets say Shaw and the recruits are equally rated by the 247's and Rival's etc.

Between this and the decommitment graphic put out by a player recently

For the millionth time, the player did not put out a graphic for his decommitment. He posted a screenshot of his notes app like every other kid. The graphic was just something that an unrelated instagram account posted. It's an account that aggregates recruiting news; they posted a picture of him when he decommitted. The kid himself did not.

Might would take both, Redstick (if that is an available option).

If not, it probably would depend on how detrimental processing the in-state kid would be to the relationship with in-state coach.

Id like to believe if not a significant difference in talent of players, LSU would go with in-state kid and protect their relationship with local high schools.

Just my two (2) cents....

Do you mean a situation like the one with Hootie Jones and Jamal Adams?

Processing a Karr kid could potentially lead to the death knell for LSU in NOLA for years to come, and that would be 100% unacceptable and devastatingly detrimental to the program long-term.

a little overly dramatically stated don't you think? Wouldn't it generally be in the interest of both parties if such a situation were to arise. It would mean LSU got commits from some better players and that the recruit would be better served moving on to a school where he has a better shot at early PT. Not saying that could happen with Tygee because he just might be that top tier type, so who knows. JUst think to say such a situation is "devastatingly detrimental" doesn't reflect the reality of the way recruiting is these days where commitments are fluid in both directions and everyone involved must have some understanding of that it would seem.

Yes, Boxcar Willie, your probably right about my remark being worded in such a way that was a bit overly dramatic. My apologies - didn't intend to over-sensationalize.

However, I honestly believe that processing a talented NOLA kid from a prominent program, like Karr, could damage the LSU brand in the eyes of numerous HS program in that region of the state. As it stands today, LSU has trouble pulling from places such as Warren Easton, Amite, and a couple others.

Seeing as how we processed a kid like Major Burns just over a year ago (which wasn't a great look for LSU), I'm not in favor of this type scenario playing out with any regularity. And, I definitely don't want it to occur in the most fertile recruiting grounds of our state (NOLA).

All that said, I respect your take and agree with your point about the fluidity of "commitments" in the 21st century (in both directions).

I 100% believe the whole Hootie thing was an intentional ploy by Saban for us to miss on Jamal Adams.

This kid will be a quality piece to our d line rotation. We’re taking 3-4 DT’s this class. He won’t be processed.
