True in the sense they have more money but they're not unlimited in spending and LSU is probably still a top 5 NIL spending school right now. They'll beat us on some and we'll beat them on some.
Bama's unique advantage was different since they had the greatest coach of all time and kept winning championships. It's an easy sell. Texas will win some by money but their program is going to have to start doing other things before they end up like Bama all over again for us.
They looked good last year for the first time in like 20 years. They're moving to the SEC so it's all setup for them. Time will tell.

Saban was LSU's head coach for five seasons. I know you know that fact, but those five years gave him time and opportunity to ingratiate himself with the people and high school coaches of Louisiana. It was a huge advantage for him when he recruited Louisiana from Alabama.
Nobody at Texas has anything close to Saban's ties to Louisiana.

True and they will be coming hard but just like TAM their culture is weird.

If any highschool player listens to Brandon Harris, they should go back and watch his bum arse film

Austin has turned into San Francisco. It's a bunch of purple haired bug eaters who are cutting their penises off and would love nothing more than to get your child to join them.

quote:Harris was a prime example of why you should go to the right school to be developed. Had he gone to Ohio St, he would have likely been a draft pick.
He was a 100% bust and not just at LSU. He can blame others but he sucked arse...

Texas is doing what A&M recently did, and I expect they will see similar results.
They had a good year and are desperate for more. So now they are trying to buy players to push the team over the top. But you can't buy a team. They're bringing in the most entitled players. They won't have chemistry, they won't be a team. They'll be stepping back, and the fans will be frustrated.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but outside of a few guys LSU wanted and needed, Saban didn’t get much from La at all. Maybe I’m misremembering.
I’m not so concerned about TX. Yes they will push and have some success, but LSU will keep our homegrown guys on lock, and one advantage of La people flocking to Texas for generations means there’s a lot of players in TX with LSU roots.

Interesting that we are not hearing much from aTm lately. Good riddance if I'm accurate in my assessment...

Devonta Smith and Cam Robinson say hello - both were better than Landon Collins
Plus Bugg, Tim Williams, Mathis played big roles for Bama

All it takes is a crash or dui and fan of another school to nose dive that sht. Saban owns Mercedes dealerships everywhere and he wasn’t fixn get into those NIL deals. He gone

Fact. However I feel like we’re better equipped now with our coaching staff to retain more LA players.

There was a lot of hype from the 8&4 fan base and writers saying stuff like this. I'm sure they came in with hope and did hit on a few guys but they eventually settled back into their place and got the nickname 8&4. Texas will be the same.
