My question is if this Oklahoma shindig does truly go down, who's there to govern the staffs contact since none is permitted? How is this Oklahoma's chance to "make a move" if he's just taking a garden variety campus visit? None of these kids are signed nor have access to the football operations buildings or anything of the sort. It's so obvious that the Oklahoma staff has set all this up and kudos to them for skating the rules.
The bigger question for me is, why aren't we doing something similar? Oklahoma is expecting kids from across the country that weekend.

So nothing like the OP made it sound.

Thanks for the clarity.

I’m guessing that he’s referring to the 21-14 whopping in the BCS Championship from 2003-04 season other than that, I have no idea.....

Get ready to be inundated with downvotes. He's a good coach but there is no evidence, as of now, he is an elite recruiter.

Thanks my man. I am liking this thought

Oklahoma is battling Alabama, Florida, LSU, Ohio State and Clemson. While they won't be able to visit with Lincoln Riley and offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh and the rest of the staff in person, they've gotten to know them well through the process as well.

It’s August and the middle of a dead period. I wouldn’t put much stock in info given right now.

The biggest miss of the cycle would be a 5 star offensive lineman from Virginia? God this board is insufferable

For us, yes. We've led for Leigh for months, have a huge need for legitimate tackles(biggest need on the team) and don't exactly have a list of top notch OL we sit in good position with at this stage much less any 5* ones. Take it as insufferable if you want but it's facts my man.

LSU 3-1 vs Georgia and BAMA the last two seasons.

The 3 star center just got drafted.

Very good point. That being said, all that tells me is we can develop with the best of them. So why not shoot for the 5 stars, who with all things being equal, usually have a better chance of panning out when we know we can develop them already. Just my two cents.

How can they visit Oklahoma during the dead period? Why are we not using the same grey areas?

No we aren't out of it at all. It's just that OU is hosting him for multiple days thru Caleb Williams which isn't good news at all.

On a scale of 1-10 on how worried we should be, Shea said a 7 or 8.

Is this where we are still praising Cregg?

We still haven't been able to reel in consistent studs on the O line which is disappointing.

I love pussies that care more about internet rankings over the actual field results

Literally the reigning joe Moore award winning coach

So Cregg gets zero credit, and from your comments that is exactly what you gave him, for the offensive line to win the Joe Moore award?

An award LSU has never won before!
