I think Pinson comes back too. If he came back that would be big. As people have mentioned, he did post on his Instagram story that he wants to stay at LSU when somebody asked him.
I think Pinson returning could start a domino effect of several players returning.

You have the Peacock trio showing as committed to LSU. Is that right?

You'll want to add Franck Kepnang, the 6-11 center from Oregon. We just offered yesterday.

It has been reported LSU is showing interest in the following:
Devin Carter SG (South Carolina)
DuJuan Gordon SG (Missouri) [he already transferred once from Kansas State to Mizzou. Not sure if he would be a grad transfer or sitting out a year, or hoping for a waiver]
Also reported that Mwani Wilkinson has received interest from Georgetown, Texas Tech, and Creighton. However, the report specifically stated he is also considering staying at LSU.
I think LSU would struggle if their team is NOTHING but 1-bid league players from the OVC or Southland, and the like. But if you can pair those type of guys with some power conference athletes then you might have the makings of a solid team.

Eh just depends on the specific players from smaller conferences. You can absolutely put together a tournament team with 7-8 players from small conferences if they were some of the better players on their teams. If you fill up on fringe starters and roll players from 1 bid leagues then you will probably be in trouble. So far our transfers have been the former hopefully it stays that way

Mwani makes sense at Texas Tech, not sure how well he fit ins schematically under CMM. But an obvious keep if he wants to stay.

I agree to some extent. But many times the reason guys are power conference players is because they have athletic ability the lower tier guys simply don't. Even the really good mid-major players. There are plenty of guys at mid-majors who are very skilled players. But a guy like Alex Fudge (who may not be as "skilled" as some good mid-major players) is coveted by power conf. programs because you can't "teach" someone to be 6'8" with tremendous wingspan and leaping ability. He can make plays on pure athleticism that most mid-major guys can't. Mid-majors can't compete on the regular with power conf. programs not because they can't play the game. But because they just get "out-athleted".
Ideally you want a team with high caliber athletes AND savvy, experienced, mid-major type players.
Currently, I think LSU has a PG (Hill) that fills that role. Hannibal has the power-conf. athleticism. Does his experience allow his skill to catch up with that athleticism will be the question? The kid form NWSU will probably be a solid bench player. Hopefully LSU can convince some of their own guys to stay while also bringing in a couple of other power conf. transfers as well as a few more great mid-major players.

I'd say those mid-major teams will generally get "out-athleted" because their 3rd, 4th and 5th guys on the floor, particularly once they've begun rotating some bench guys in, really can't match up with the Power 5 teams.
But more often than not, the top couple of guys on a good mid-major team are without question Power 5 type athletes.
At Murray State, McMahon had really four guys who fit that bill in Williams, Brown, Hill and Hannibal. Collins is a better ball player than athlete and Burns is a guy who can fill up a stat sheet and probably can hang in the SEC but he isn't much of a scorer. That's why they won 30 games - they had enough athletes to dominate at their level and to hang at the higher level.
So if you build a team off mid-major players who were #1 or #2 or maybe #3 at the places they came from, you can probably get enough horses to hold your own in the SEC. The real question there is will some of these kinds of guys be willing to go from a 15-18 point a game go-to guy to a role player, or does your team fight over the ball?
Most of the time that will be a problem. And the fact most of these guys will probably be juniors and seniors means that while they do understand coaching and team play, they're also coming because they want to put up numbers and boost their draft stock - and if they end up as the 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench you could end up with Charles Mannings and Bryan Penn-Johnsons.
But it's better that than throwing a bunch of Snake Castons and Lester Earls out there.

I said this in another thread but My thing with Pinson, if you weren’t going to the draft, why go through senior day?
That either means maybe he was leaving regardless or he knew something

Kepnang from Oregon 6'11" 240. Would be a nice piece in the post. Runs well and blocks shots. Looks raw but big time athleticism. Not much of a scorer.
EDIT: Noiice! Apparently, we offered him yesterday FWIW.

He declared for the NBA Draft without an agent. If he entered the portal it would be all over the place.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe we can offer him if not in the portal.
