If we could add 2 of any of these guys to Aaron Anderson, plus Billot or Parker steps up, we will be in business:

1. Micah Hudson (Texas Tech)

2. Barion Brown (Kentucky)

3. Dane Key (Kentucky)

4. Kyron Hudson (USC)

5. Nic Anderson (OU)

The two most likely I feel based off of early intel and my own gut feeling is Micah Hudson and Barion Brown. Both would be excellent additions to complement Anderson plus the other young WRs

With absolutely zero knowledge or proof - the rumors swirling around here saying Hudson could be a potential problem off the field is concerning. Would hate to put our hope in a guy that could cause issues (maybe this is Denver Harris PTSD idk)

We are speaking of the WR position. It seems it is an inherent trait.

Dane Key would be only one of that group I’ve have no problem with the coaching staff taking. Big body guy who produced in a terrible offense.

Don’t forget about Hilton. He should come back and if he plays next year like he did in the last game of the season, he’ll be an important piece

For that matter, isn’t TD Green now considered a receiver?

FWIW I’m not saying that we don’t need a couple of receivers from the portal. I’m just pointing out others who I believe are currently on the roster and capable of stepping up.

Not surprised at all. Of all the positions on a football team, IMO WRer is flat out the easiest one to fill with a quality player. Evidence of that can be found in pro football when guys literally are sacking groceries one week and the next week they are playing in an NFL game as a WRer. So Meadows not signing with LSU was "meh" to me.

The ONLY time I see teams get in trouble is when a rash of injuries hit like happened with OU this season. Supposedly their top 5 WRers missed multiple games and it showed. LSU will be absolutely fine at WRer next season. I'm surprised people even mention that as an area of concern.

Key is great at contested catches down field. Would be perfect and a missing piece to our wr corps.

don't see how we can, seeing as we'd have Pimpton and Lafleur as our only TE's if Green goes to WR full time

Micah Hudson is worth the risk IMO to spend big on. Listening to the coach speak about him, the kid played through an injury in high school that should have kept him out, and he put up insane numbers regardless. He had to have knee surgery prior to Spring practice, and it kept him out of everything until right before the season started. I know it's just Texas Tech, but they had a top 10 offense in the country this past year...so it's not like they were desperate to rush him to the field. Then he got hurt again and that was it for 2024.

So maybe he's Chris Hilton and just can't stay healthy. We're just talking about 1 season though. If healthy, Hudson has potential to be WR1 and a total stud. You still would need a true WR1, but if we have the money (and it sounds like we do), I'd be all in to sign this kid.

Exactly. No need to rush into this and get another case of the dropsies.

Lets evaluate and grab a true WR1. A big and physical body for RZ offense

Seems to be the money would be better spent on a player who has proven he can produce at the college level.

Wouldn’t include Hilton in any projections for next year. Dude can’t stay healthy

That’s my only concern as well, but Parker and others have had injuries as well.
Anyway, I’m doubtful that Hilton was out that long for a bone bruise unless he just kept aggravating it before it healed

Seems like we should try to keep the receivers we have now that are looking to leave.

Well, if the staff thinks they are worth keeping and they aren’t overpaying for them, then I am sure they would
