I believe I read on here that at some point today, deals can get done with players?

I think portal officially opens today.
Now that it's officially open, deals can be done at any time.

Today the portal officially opens. Any contact from schools other than the one the athlete was leaving before today would be considered tampering. (I know, it's a bad joke because it absolutely does happen)
Once in the portal, players can commit and transfer to a new spot at any time, even after the window closes. They just have to be in the portal during this 30 day window.

Kinda like an auction
Kids just want to see how badly they are wanted errr can be paid

There is no "signing day" for the portal. It's simply about committing then enrolling/transferring to the new institution.
