But I thought TJ sucked and wasn't SEC material?
Finley had the number of denham springs last season also

Finley threw for seven touchdowns, ran for two more and produced 612 yards of total offense — 598 on his 23-of-36 passing alone

He put up nearly 30% of his offensive numbers in that game

Don’t look at TJs completion percentage last night and think “oh this again”. There were more drops than catches.

a good game against DSHS does not suddenly make Finley an exceptional QB

Ok. And one good game from Max doesn't mean he's good either

I'm not freaking out over HS stats when these guys play on terrible teams.

These people don't understand this. They think a GREAT QB will wave a magic wand and make his inferior receivers better and get open against superior talented and athletic DB's. They believe a GREAT QB will just magically make his sad Oline block better against players 3 and 4 inches taller and 40 to 100 pounds heavier. They haven't a clue, not even the slightest clue or idea what it's like to play QB on a team where you have little to no help. Last season every highlight I watched of Max Johnson (and this was highlights, his better plays) he had less than 3 seconds to throw the ball, sometimes less than 2 seconds. That's not much time for a damn NFL QB, much less a HS junior. But you think these people on here get this, no, they are clueless, mindless, rubes.

I requested this thread be deleted last week. It has been impossible to find completed stats week to week on these guys

I was hoping to focus on their Comp % but I just can’t find the data needed

I LOVE both of our QB recruits. They are players, have great skills, and will battle to start in 2 years.

Everything I have read about Finley is that he has a cannon for an arm but very erratic. Maybe sign him and convert him to a TE or DE if he doesn’t workout at QB.

Or just transfer if it doesn't work and give that spot to an actual TE or DE.

A guy that is, AT BEST, a mobile QB and never played defense, you want to convert to TE or DE?

So if Johnson doesn't work out do you want him to play kicker?

O might need to go the transfer route to find a proven qb to sustain a winning tradition.

We have Brennan for probably two more years (I like Brennan) Hopefully we get someoen in 2021.

I also think Finley and Johnson have the tools to succeed. It is hard to grade anything Finley does besides arm strength because his team is pretty bad.
