Finley was 10-28 121 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 picks against Live Oak. They lost 35-14. His future teammate Jalen Lee had a couple of sacks on him last night.

I don’t want to bash a recruit on here...but want to leave this info here.
A few years back someone did a comprehensive analysis on completion percentage trends each year from high school to the NFL. It is extremely rare for quarterbacks to increase their completion percentage more than a few points when they move to the next level. (Most either went down slightly or stayed the same)

I'd love if you could find this somewhere and post it

I know his team and coaches are below average, which is being kind, but I want a QB that dominates in High school. Look at Burrow, Mr. Football in Ohio. If you can't dominate in high school then.... how are you supposed to dominate in college. I want a QB that can take over a game, win or lose

Max struggled his 1st 2 games, 1 was 10/19 for low 100 yards 1 TD, 1 rush Td the other was 10/20 for low 100 yards and a pick.

He did throw 4 TDs last night, not sure of yards or attempts, but they played a bad team.

Correct if I’m wrong but are both of these guys just on really bad teams?

I read the article about completion % as well.

By the time a kid is a junior or senior in HS their completion % typically doesn’t improve much.

Always some outliers but that is the trend.

Even if there were 7 drops, 17-28 still sucks in every eay.
I'll say it, hes not anywhere near SEC material with these continuing #s.

Personally I don’t see either of these kids ever being a full time starter at LSU.

He has none. He was rushed out the pocket on every pass, if he was able to even make that far, without Live Oak blitzing. I just hope the boy don't get hurt playing behind that OLine. He definitely has a load of natural talent

I see us going the transfer route before these two guys play. In today’s world of college football, it’s almost the smart thing to do. Neither one have what it takes to win championships for LSU.

They both have arm talent. Personally, I think IF Coach, Coach E, and Brady believe that Brennan is capable of high level QB play for the two years following Burrow, LSU is playing their cards exactly right by signing these two guys. They both need some development, which may or may not happen on schedule, but both inarguabliy have a lot of potential.

The offense will show out this year, and we can recruit above anyone on the roster in 2021. QBs in the c/o 2021 will see the exciting offense and the opportunity to play early.
