Only a 3-star but offers from some of the top programs in the country. Makes me think he’s underrated and will rise in the upcoming months.

Might be a good idea to get in early on this guy.

All offers aren't committable.

In this NIL era, there's no path to the field at LSU or any other major program for lower rated prospects. Coaching staffs are constantly looking for instant contributors every portal cycle.

He would better off going to a smaller program, getting on the field early, develop, and hitting the portal to bigger program after a year or 2.

But star rating isn’t indicative of how good a player is necessarily. Especially when they still have a year left of high school ball to play, as well as camps and such.

He could very well rise, based on what the major schools are thinking about him.

Shanklin stayed true to his commitment and knows this guy. So, we may have the inside track, but do we want him? Time will tell...

Thats true some cases. BK has signed a total of 28 3-stars from 22, 23, and 24 classes. Only 1 has started a game (Stamps). Two others have gotten meaningful playing time (Breaux & Woodland).

The rest are either buried on the depth chart, passed up by an incoming transfer, incoming higher rated recruit, or transferred out.

He is the black Trent Vietmeier, lol. Ironically Trent was also a defensive lineman in high school in addition to being a pitcher. Trent looked 35 when he stepped on campus.

Just because they may not get immediate playing time, nor should most, doesn’t mean they won’t see the field. Some of those younger cats will be better options as upperclassmen than a 5 star freshman or transfer who has to learn the scheme.

There’s a reason Stamps is going to start over Pickett in Game 1

What makes you think LSU doesn't think he can contribute day 1? His recruiting rating that means absolutely nothing?

Here is another poster who values the scouts at On3 and 247 vs College coaches getting paid $10M plus.

I think I'm ok with trusting the evaluations of the guys whose job it is toeval the players. And whose future employment depends on the correct eval of the players and has been doing it for years, over some swinging dick on the internet.
