Wow, some of the most impressive OL footage I have seen out of LA in awhile.
Plays with great leverage, leg bend, has quick feet, a mean streak, awesome size, long arms, can run and pass block equally. Wow...top 100 lock. He should potentially be a 5.9-6.0 4 star. Rarely am I very impressed with OL footage--but his is elite.
Agree with all of that. He may be a top 5-6 player in the state. I'd have him over Q Thomas for sure right now, and probably Hill and Sylve.
He should be one of the top rated guards in the entire country. Like you said, a rare combination that you just don't see of both knee bend and tremendous athleticism.

I believe there is a rule that if you are home schooled and want to play high school football, then you can play at the high school in your district. Tebow did the same thing.

think the projected rankings are a bit high for some of the players. especially as you approach the bottom of the top 10.
great list. a lot of good evaluations. i think it's a very nice analysis of LA's 2011 class. i can't see that many guys being ranked in the top 100. maybe the top 6. wouldn't surprise me to see sylve instead of hill or neither in the top 100.
great job fellas.

collins:
physical guy. works hard to get to the 2nd level. needs to stay lower. could be an elite run blocker. Haven't seen him pass block so idk about that.
johnson:
I love this guy's first step and explosion. He looks like a fantastic player. Well matured for his age. he straight makes O-linemen look foolish.
rasco:
He needs to put on some weight to play DE. haven't seen him play.
Landry:
great hands. Decent after the catch. Physical is the best way to describe him. Great vision. Knows how to make people miss. Not the fastest guy in the world. However, with his vision and physical style of play, and ability to make people miss that's ok. Has a nose for the endzone. if he is close he is gonna get in.
Hilliard:
physical runner. The first tackler will rarely get this kid down. Breaks tackles nicely. Decent second gear for sucha big guy. Could be a great goal line back early in his career.
Lewis:
Not much of Lewis on tape. I was impressed with teammate Kenny Zenon. What happened too him??
Johnson:
needs to player lower at the poa (point of attack). Great explosion. Gets nice seperation at the poa.
beckham:
great speed, nice vision.
Oliver:
great accuracy, sometimes zeroes in on wr's too much. However, that's typical for a young qb.

great work btw
Byrd:
great at breaking tackles, fantastic hands, nice verticle gets the ball at its highest peak, I think he will definately end up at WR. He deserves to be higher on this list imho
Reed:
He has great acceleration. When the ball is snapped he is gone. Shifty. Lacks a 2nd gear in the open field and any power. Definately a receiving threat out of the backfield.
Douglas:
seems like his level of competition is low. Has an odd release. Seems like a dip and dunk passser.

Looks like we may have at least three 5 star recruits maybe 4.

Looks like we have the inside track on all of the "must haves" except Rasco. Louisiana will be 25 players deep this year.

i wish UGA could get landry.
But it's very unlikely.

Yes. Quite a few big, strong line prospects. Finally.

My wife called me in to watch some of that show; I was not impressed with him at all. And I think he is going to Central High next year.
