A guy I work with is a diehard South Carolina fan and he and I have been going back and forth talking about Burch. For the past few weeks he kept telling me "Momma usually wins out" and he was extremely confident Burch would commit to South Carolina. This morning he comes in and says he's been reading on Gamecock boards where their fans are beginning to lose hope and thinking Burch commits to LSU. This guy is the ultimate South Carolina sunshine pumper so for him to start conceding is interesting.
NOTE: No.. I don't have any inside information. And I don't read any Gamecock boards, but this guy devours every bit of Gamecock intel and news that comes out. Just thought I'd share. I hope Vol is right with his pick on Burch to LSU. We'll find out soon enough.

Thanks for this. I have read their boards a little bit, and there is some truth to this. It has been stated that the kid wants to plat at LSU and his Mom is the last hurdle here.

No prob. I don't want to give anyone false hope - hopefully I made it clear that neither me or this guy have any connections. But I figure not many of us scour the Gamecock sites like we do for LSU so I thought I'd share.

If the word going around is true and we do indeed have about 4 or 5 silent commits I do think Burch is one of them.

Muschamp is gone after this year. I can understand Momma wanting him to be close to her for 3-4 years regardless of who the HC is, but Muschamp won't be around.
