I originally joined TD for this board years ago. I have since moved onto other boards, only occasionally checking in here.
This board is (and in recent years remains) a mess as evidenced by the misinformation, panic, melting and conjecture that was posted over the weekend. The sky is always falling for some reason.

You think Kirby would rather have Saban coaching up 5 star recruits or Orgeron? If we lose recruits, it's because of our staff, not because Kirby or Saban directed them elsewhere.

Totally agree. Those guys might be friends in real life (as much as someone with their personalities can have friends), but there's no way Saban would rather play Kirby in the SECG over any other coach in the SEC East. And the same can be said about Smart. You really think he'd rather some kid go to Alabama over State?
This is some damn tin foil hat shite right here.

It’s a fricked up situation on the recruiting board.. everyone that claims they have ‘sources’ always used the famous line of ‘you can believe me if you want to’ or something like that, and that’s all you’ll get out of them.. people need to do a little bit of homework on these types of people. For instance, laman, has brought ‘info’ to this board once before, but as noted in my post above, he said ‘my guy was INTENTIONALLY given misinformation’... what kinda shite is that? Laman claimed that Sterlin Gilbert was coming to be the OC at LSU. I don’t remember whether or not this actually had any steam or if it was wishful thinking from the rant, but this guy clearly just piggybacked off of info that may or may not have been true at the time, and when it blew up in his face, he played the ‘my guy got incorrect info’ card
Admins need to properly vet people if they want this board to have any credibility. I know they do it sometimes to people during the coaching searches. I wish they’d do it on the RB

Even though it's not good news thanks for posting. I crave all news and appreciate anything people care to post. Keep posting what you've got and don't be upset by the negativity. Lots of fans are overly zealous and/or young.

What? His bad info was the source of the negativity.

That's some sound logic right there. I bet your parents are proud.
They were when they were alive, thank you.
How’s the cancer going? I see it’s turned you into a bitchy piece of shite so far.

Bad info usually comes from TAF members that want everyone to believe that they’re in the know. The program itself might also plant things that are false so nobody knows what they’re doing.

I firmly believe this tactic is used to root out leakers in politics, business and sports.

I understand that and also I believe that it happens. However, I’d like for the people in charge of this place to try as best as they can to get a hold of it.. as time passes, it’s pretty clear who actually gets ‘inside’ info and who is completely full of shite with intentions to get people riled up
My point: I could create an alter tomorrow, and start a thread claiming to have inside information and more than 50% of the people who read it will believe it.
I just think that there’s is more that the admins can do to police this type of shite, the question is, do they want to? At what point does quality become more important than quantity in regards to posts/threads

You fricking tool. I wasn’t talking about Brooks. I was talking in general about the flow of information from the amateur they have dishing it out.
What’s cringeworthy is people like you thinking you have any sense as to how a program works. It’s changed a lot since I was a GA but I’ve witnessed firsthand the changes from the recruits point of view in the last thirty plus years.
Breathing just fine, little man.

I was so baffled by what took place this weekend that I made a phone call to my long time recruiting source. It appears that the Thomas interest in FSU is legit. He won't "decommit" from LSU anytime soon, but he will certainly be adding some visits to see what else is out there.
Brooks is basically gone. He'll be switching to A&M eventually.
Emery informed the staff that he planned to commit this weekend. They were under the impression that he was committing to them, but obviously he did not. He's all about Georgia now.
More tidbits...
Sopsher - Don't expect him at LSU unless his brother comes along with him. The word is that he would consider Bama without his brother though. He's also apparently starting to take a closer look at Georgia.
Lee and Palmer are NOT done deals like previously reported. Especially Lee. O has not made nearly as much progress in Amite as previously reported.
I was also told that if Thomas decommits, expect one and possibly two highly rated recruits currently committed to decommit with him.
I also asked about the mysterious 5 star offensive tackle that could possibly be decommitting and committing to LSU instead. According to my source, it's simply not true. I asked about three different players in particular, and while LSU is still recruiting them hard, each player has showed no signs of budging.
Don't shoot the messenger.
Great when posters go all in on their "sources" so we know who is full of it for the next "scoop" they give us.
Here is a little GIF for you

We've known since Thomas committed that he's going to take his 5 official visits. He has them lined up for marquee games. Nothing has changed with Thomas. He's chatty and a little full of himself.
Brooks has declined to even visit another school. All signs are that he's refused to even discuss visits with other schools.
Your source sucks.
