Well, we have no 5 stars committed….and very few high 4 stars…besides Davis. But he is OT. I think we are seeing Brian Kelly’s style of recruiting right now. I think he has a good eye for talent and knows the type of player he’s looking for. It might not always coincide with what we are used to looking for. That said, He also usually closes really strong in his recruiting classes and I expect that to be the same this year. I think there’s a good chance you are going to see two or three of those type of players end up on our roster soon enough…

Building blocks class and down year in Louisiana talent overall. Next year looks to have the wow factor.
This. If you’re a stargazer, just watch how the 2025 and 2026 classes play out. Those are going to be fun and loaded with high-end talent.

That depends on where you look. On3 has Davis as a 5 star in their rankings.
It’s always better to look at On3 or 247’s own rankings and compare between them. The industry rankings are drug down by Rivals and ESPN, which are shite and lower than shite respectively. They are basically useless at this point.

Should be good enough to compete for natty’s.
Where does it rank in the SEC?

It feels so unbelievably mid. Like it's not bad at all, it's balanced. Meets pretty much all of our needs. Maybe need another DT but that's kind-of it.
Outside of Green, no-one in this singing class looks like a superstar. It's probably the most boring signing class I have ever seen LSU get, assuming it stays the same. If we can pull Bussey, or McKinley it would feel alot more exciting. But for now it feels meh. I dont have any excitement that one of these kids are gonna push for a starting job.
Are you on drugs?

I remember one year Miles had 19 four stars. It was unreal and I think broke records. Things are different now but for reference lsu has 17 four stars for 2024 class. February will be for three potential 5 stars. Probably have coaching answers by then. I’m good

I hope this thread was meant to be some reverse psychology. If its not, its a shitty thread and if it is it seemed to have worked.

Probably and potential sounds good to me too…

I think this recruiting class is great, especially with the transfer portal.
Next year will be lights out over the top outstanding

It’s also possible for Green to get bumped up to a 5 star in the last revision. The On3 guys were talking about how they all think he deserves it on their latest podcast.

It’s a little more boring than the 2017 class, which was ranked seventh, was the best class in the nation and the best class in LSU history.

Green is a freak of nature I couldn't care less what they rank him. He's going to be elite.

I really like this class and how it's shaping up. But people keep posting that it's the number 6 class according to On3. It's not. According to the On3 rankings, this class is still #12. Once the transfers are factored in for every team, perhaps it will rise that high, but as of today, the class is ranked at 12.
ETA - My bad. Apparently, On3 lists the industry average for their team rankings, and you have to maneuver around to actually find the On3 rankings. Very odd. Thanks to the posters who pointed this out to me.

We have to quit saying this
That was last years class in 2023
We have the 12th ranked class currently for 2024

This is a underrated class
Just like 2018 was huh?
Y’all say this about every bad class because every single 3 star from Louisiana is “underrated” and “a dawg”

I find it hard to believe that you sat and watched Durhams highlights and thought “yea this guy won’t do much at LSU” lol
The guy truly believes he can watch high school highlight film and predict future day 1 nfl draft picks.

Could be like your 5 star, can’t miss cousin that never played.

Usually our classes have 3-5 guys that you look at the film and meserables and can't imagine them not being all Americans or day 1-2 draft picks.
I’ll remind you that a few years Sage Ryan was one of those guys you are taking about here.
