This class is signed, still some unanswered questions with next year’s team.

Any updates on potential transfers ? Goes without saying that the offense appears to be loaded and ready to start rolling. Defense has some potential breakout players , Womack, Weeks, Swinson, Toviano , to go along with Perkins, a fully healthy Maason Smith. Gilbert will be a big upgrade at safety, but still need a few more players at each level. I get being patient and not jumping to offer every player that hits the portal, but man some really good talent is already off the board.
Just saw Kelly’s statements about announcing transfers on Friday, maybe some surprises besides the 3 known.

Then I think we’re set out of the portal. Could use another body at DT too if you don’t land McKinley in February.

That’s prolly not realistic at this point. Assuming wingo and smith are back, you have:

Smith
Guillory
Shone Washington
Jalen Lee
And a few freshmen
having one more DT in the two deep is ideal - maybe they are comfortable with Shone Washington

I hope they add a least 1 more DT, preferably with at least 2 years of eligibility. Once Wingo and Smith leave there isn’t much depth coming in.

I think our roster number is maybe 92 now. I don't know how we can add too many more players without making cuts. It will be interesting to say the least.

Lacy is absolutely a WR1. If WRs were drafted on measurables alone, he's a first rounder. If Lacy uses the summer/spring properly and corrects the drops, he's the Malik of next years team.

People seem to have lost track of the roster. We currently have 91 or 92 scholarship players (limit is 85) that as of now haven’t announced anything. Add a couple of Feb signings and we have to cut roster, not add. Maybe 8-10 cuts. We’ll see how they get to the numbers.

Spring practice. The big schools have purged the non factors, miscreants and $ chasers in the early portal cycle. Still a few to come. After spring you'll have the disappointed they didn't win the job kids bailing for opportunity elsewhere. That's where you find the ones opposing staffs wanted to keep around but couldn't.

Yeah I think overall a very solid class, I wish we would have gotten 1 more freshman cb (cai bates)and 2 dl and this class would have been perfect. I think they need to grab 3-4 dl and edge guys in the portal and a good db and wr if they can. We also can get guys after the spring so I’m not too worried about personnel. First on my wishlist though, is a new DC that gives a crap.

you realize after 2024 season we lose Lee, Smith, Guillory, and Wingo? All that will be left are two unknowns in Washington and Langston.
Staff really fricked themselves not addressing this recruiting cycle...yes theres time left but big fish are already taken.
a massive failure on their part, but let the recruiting experts here say otherwise.
