I still believe if lsu was rolling it might have changed things.

Once lsu stumbled you know Michigan was in his ear again. I'm sure his parents were too.

This kid thought he was going to be jayden daniels at lsu. Once he saw the results with the money things changed.

This would make sense if they were 10-0 but they have a worse record than lsu does

I don’t think it would matter if we were 10-0. They offered a high school player 12 MM. That’s absolutely insane and there was no way he was saying no. As a matter of fact, you know it doesn’t matter because Michigan is objectively the worst passing team in the power 4. The wild wild west is here boys and it’s not going away.

You wonder …what scholarship Qb wants to be behind him at Michigan next season? Why wouldn’t you transfer out, UM going all in

Last I checked the last 2 Heisman Trophy winners from LSU weren’t recruited to play here.

What Underwood did is unforgivable. The narcissism it takes to do something like that is off the charts.

You are so naive if you think this was some last minute thing. This has been in the works for months if not from the very beginning. Like OP said he and his family used LSU to drive up a ridiculous price from Michigan. He was never coming to LSU.

Ive noticed after following recruiting for 25 years. When the player/family does stuff like this, the player ends up being a bust.
Sherron Moore's confidence about this at the podium that time makes a lot of sense now. He was in the bag weeks ago. That ten mill bid was likely done before they annonced it.

Kid committed career suicide, but it is what it is.

This is how I feel.

People keep saying they can't be mad at him for taking the money. I guess I get that.

The thing that annoys me is how he played this out. He kept reassuring LSU that money was not a factor. I'd respect him more had he not said anything at all, but he continued to assure LSU he was coming only to be bought out last second.

I truly believed he was different than that, but of course as others stated, I
don't blame him. However, people saying that just dismiss the idea that LSU was also taking very good care of him when it came to money.

I can't believe LSU promoted a coach and jeopardized their entire season over one recruit only for money to be an obstacle. It's not my money, but I would have paid nearly whatever it took to avoid this. I feel like if they paid him closer to the alleged 12 million+ they could have an excuse to keep BK around even longer. Even if he continues to be average you still have that excuse of waiting on the player. Ultimately preventing the possibility having to buy out BK sooner.

We shall see. Maybe we get a transfer and it all works out, but I feel like what seperates LSU from having elite consistency is not hitting on elite HS QBs. We are a transfer QB U.

Now it’s all about a top brand offering the most money.
