Is not that Ricks will probably pick Bama, hey that happens. It’s the fact that Saban tried to make himself a martyr going on this anti paying players crusade this summer. Drug Jimbo, and all that bs. Just to turn around and do the same exact thing. That’s frustrating. I’m fine with NIL, paying players, etc. I’m not fine with someone acting like they hold themselves to some kind of high standard and then turning around and doing it themselves. That’s bullshite.

It never occurred to you that Saban is, was and always has been full of $hit?

Saban has always whined when others take advantage of the rules better than him. Then he turns around and burns everyone with the same thing.

Look at when he complained about hurry up offense and the modern offense, a few years later he is jamming it down everyone's throat

I thought Saban’s rant about A&M was specifically asking his boosters to step up more, not acting like he was above it.

The funny thing is Watts saying that he and bama coaches didn’t feel that Ricks was elite just last night lol

Guess they changed their minds

The most frustrating part about all of this is Polian mismanaging the DB recruiting cycle.

Austin is arguably the bigger loss. Plus you had Curly Reed and Matthews sitting in your backyard. I don’t blame this on Peeples either. I think he can close but, it was just horribly managed. You put all of your eggs in one basket for an OOS 5 star and you get beat by Bama again. People aren’t talking about this enough.

Need to bounce back in a big way in the transfer portal

So far, all of the Bama guys still think he is going to pick LSU. Y’all are getting way too worked up over this.

You’re just discovering this about Saban? It’s almost 2023.

Saban stepped over an unconscious lineman in Dolphins training camp and tried to lobby the NCAA that hurry up offense was a threat to player safety. It was a threat to his defensive situational substitutions.

He’s a great coach, but it seems like you held him in Mother Theresa type self esteem. That was wrong.

Here’s another thing to consider… if what has been discussed up to this point is true, then he was planning to commit to LSU, and had a nice offer from LSU. Bama upped their offer today, and now he’s leaning that way. If LSU feels they HAVE to have him, and the only reason he’s leaning Bama now is $, then LSU basically has tonight and tomorrow morning to get their $ straight, and counter with the offer he can’t refuse. If they feel it’s an absolute must, they’ll come up with the money. If they don’t, that tells you he’s not an absolute must.

I’m not getting worked up over it either way.

What college football has turned into has become a little disgusting to be honest.

I’ll always love LSU and root for the kids wearing the uniforms but my level of emotional investment continues to decrease. Of course maybe it’s just because I’m getting to be an old fart too

You should have known when Saban was the first to announce that a player(Bryce) was getting close to a million dollars in NIL money before he ever played a down at Bama, while talking about the Bama brand.. Anyone with a brain knows that announcing that was not in the best interest of Bryce or his teammates, but was instead a chance for him to recruit players to Bama using NIL. It may have taken him a year to realize what Bama needed to do to outmatch the teams that were doing what A&M did last year, but Saban is not going to allow anyone to have more of an unfair advantage then Bama.

Truer words haven’t been spoken. Saban has the facade of an honest and respectable person because he is well spoken (almost like a politician) and he is very good at what he does. If you look past that, he is absolutely full of shite.

People are trying to make Saban into a hypocrite when he's showing why he's the GOAT.

I believe Saban doesn't like NIL and he doesn't like the hurry up offenses...but he understands they're not going anywhere so he says, "OK I am the opposite of stubborn and I will adapt and do those things better than anyone else."

Saban can’t live in a world where he doesn’t have a stacked deck. He complains about every new thing because it means he has to adjust and he’s human and old and would prefer not to.

His “good for the game” rhetoric always has and always will be horseshite.

Well he can be a hypocrite and still be the GOAT, which is the case here. No doubt that if he was at LSU, no complaints

How is he a hypocrite?

He has a personal preference about certain things. His preference isn't going to change the rules.

Nah, he rants about what’s good for the game all the time but then willingly participates.

He’s both goat and hypocrite
