Actually if you paid attention to what he was saying it was how he didn’t like it but if this is the way we are going then we will just do it better than everyone else.

He had the same tones when he was talking about hurry up offenses then he just started doing it better than everyone else.

quote:

he rants about what’s good for the game all the time but then willingly participates.

Again, he has personal preferences

The game isn't played within his preferences. He coaches within the rules, even though he doesn't support them.

That's not being a hypocrite.

Not to turn this political, but this is like someone accepting social security or medicare after paying in their entire lives, even though they didn't support the programs. That personal preference had no impact on policy and they were still taxed to pay for the welfare programs...it's not hypocritical or an indictment on their honor to accept the welfare payments when they get old enough.

Well, from knowing some people that were directly involved with Saban while he was at LSU and Bama, his speeches about integrity, what’s good for the game, focus on doing things the right way, etc,. only applies to when it is beneficial to him. Saban is all about winning at all cost, but smart enough to know how to do it with little trail and with his arse far removed from it. Do you really think Jimbo was lying about what he and other coaches knew about the real Nick Saban last year. Hell, Jimbo was throwing himself under the bus as well when he said those things, but he wanted to finally let people know the man was a complete hypocrite.
