I don't give a fack about the optics. You cant lose Brown because he in an extremely elite player. Bradford is really good no doubt, but LSU can develop and Bradford type with the athletes we possess. Lamar Brown is a unicorn. He's elite in the trenches on both sides. On DL he's the perfect player for what Kyle Williams wants as a DT. He will be a sack monster if he's here. On OL, he's an instant starter at guard and will likely be a guard as talented as Will Campbell was a tackle.

This. It’s similar to last year with DJ Pickett. We knew he was the one recruit we couldn’t afford to lose and did everything we needed to do financially to keep him locked in the class. For this year, brown is the one recruit you cannot afford to lose. Guys with uis size and athleticism flat out don’t grow on trees you cannot lose a brown caliber player

If you are referring to LSU 247 article, no where in article does it say that. It says its a coin flip.

Losing Jakheem Stewart last year and Brown this year would really suck. It's not the end of the world, but losing back to back top DTs in state certainly hurts.

This is the type of kid to pick Miami or Texas while everyone thinks it’s 8&4 or LSU

Ole Gordon has deep ties to UHigh.

I bet he gets it done….

Gordon isn't giving the kind of money out that brown is going to get. It would take actual nil money.

I bet a&m is throwing some really good money at him.

This is all about money. Has nothing to do with him being from u-high.

Not that a commitment in July is the end all be all, but the writing has been on the wall for several weeks now. We basically had to beg him to come on his scheduled visit. He is tweeting at recent A&M commits about joining them just this past weekend. Their class is loaded with DL and secondary pieces and Brown would further solidify that.

Gotta love the downvotes raining for stating the current facts. LSU has made an incredibly strong offer but A&M has legit and funny money that is absurd.

This kid wants money. We get a stud commit and ppl say it means nothing

If he commits to TAMU it means nothing. Middle of December is when it all ends

First let’s get one thing straight, Richard Anderson is better than both of them.

Brown is a college Center that can get away with playing anywhere on the field in HS. Would not be an insurmountable loss unless all you care about is stars.

Agree with Les on Brown. Dudes an interior OL. I don’t care what he wants to play, he’s IOL. No reason to panic.

I’ll be quite honest..:always want the best in the state to stay, but you are so correct. This dude loves the fame and the money being thrown around. If he goes to Cali to play DT…let’s see how that goes for him

We will all know where he goes Thursday morning when the real deals are thrown at his agent. Anything else is just talk. Then when that amount is released publicly, whatever team willing to pay more will get him on ESD. That's recruiting baby.
