I don't really agree with that mentality either if you pay attention to rest of NCAA. There's lots of teams paying mercenaries who are showing major success doing so too. See no further than Florida State who got robbed last year. They also went in and just took what seemed like half of Bama's roster when Saban left. Teams are paying because it's 12 team playoff now.

This is not a very intelligent post.

All of the guys you mentioned either suck or have never played a down of college football. We need to add DT playmakers very desperately or else we will get pushed around in the trenches like 2023. It takes an insane amount of sunshine pumping to spin this situation in a positive light.

Blame Brian Kelly. He is the one that said they are focusing on signing top quality DT. They supposedly freed up a bunch of money to go after the top guys and we can’t outbid Auburn? IF that’s the case, we can’t outbid Tulane or Aurburn at our one position of interest? We are completely screwed going forward.

I think we're all crazy if the top 203 DT's were going to take one visit and then just shut it down and commit. I don't think that LSU will come up empty. They have a chance to circle back NIL wise if they are serious.

I agree that the coaching staff absolutely knows we need a minimum of 2 DTs and at least 1 needs to have starter potential. I don’t think they aren’t determined. I’m just worried that we are going to have to overpay for them and what that might mean.
