Guy transferred from Notre Dame and has had a solid season at Texas.

Wonder if him and BK are interested…

Is he a grad transfer? If not, he'll have to sit out right?

This is a good question. Isn’t there a rule to sit out for one year if you have already used your one portal transfer exemption unless they are a grad transfer.

Unless a no brainer is out there I wait until after spring for a LB. See what you've got and see who else jumps in the portal. Bound to be some kids that don't win jobs hit the market post spring

This is what i would do. I wouldn't be surprised if they take one now and then one after spring.

Losing tolan hurts bad. He was one of my favorite recruits in that class

Dude is going to be a great linebacker. Very smart and was already picking up the defense and pass coverages.

Maybe CBK can still get Tolan aligned and he’ll withdraw from the portal. After all, the grass isn’t always greener . . .

He has 1 season of eligibility left.

quote:

Texas Longhorns senior edge Ovie Oghoufo announced his departure from the program on Wednesday with the intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal to use his final season of eligibility.

quote:

Oghoufo was recognized on Senior Day back in November.

A consensus three-star prospect out of Farmington (Mich.) Harrison in the 2018 recruiting class, Oghoufo signed with Notre Dame and redshirted before playing sparingly over the next two seasons with the Fighting Irish, recording 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 19 games in South Bend.

After entering the portal as a graduate transfer, Oghoufo committed to Texas in early 2021 and spent two seasons with the Longhorns, playing in 12 games with eight starts in 2021, recording 42 tackles (21 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two quarterback hurries, and two passes broken up before playing in 12 games with 11 starts in 2022 with 50 tackles (20 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, four quarterback hurries, and three passes broken up.

If he already transferred once, would he have to sit out a season? Or did he not play at ND?
