That would have bothered me a lot a couple years ago, but this sport has changed. A lot. If you're gonna leave, then you may as well leave. I think it's weak, but I also think the direction this sport in general is weak. If things don't get regulated, it's only going to get worse.

Players on teams in playoffs have a 5 day window after to enter portal. Only advantage to now rather than than after eliminated is possibility of rosters filling up and/or teams running out of $$$.

He has no choice, if he wants to leave. The NCAA is intentionally screwing over CFB with its both it's portal dates and unlimited transfers. The CFB league cannot get here fast enough.

These portal dates really are screwing with the playoff players. And those teams don’t face a lot of time to work on the portal either since they still have games to prepare for. But the playoffs go well into the new year and these guys need to be at their new schools by then. Everything is so f’d up right now
