Are we sure Jake Olson does anything for us. I don’t think I ever disliked a position coach as much as I dislike him.
Unacceptable.
Good thing it’s far from over and LSU won’t stop recruiting him but the fact you let another commitment even happen is brutal

If you knew anything about recruiting, you could see that these kids, especially the higher rated players, use these commitments as leverage for higher offers.

Step away from the ledge. We just watched Kade Phillips being locked in and a done deal 36 hrs before signing day only to flip 24 hrs later. Things could change on an hourly basis. There is plenty of time

Olson has only been at LSU a year now so the jury is still out on him. He wasn't exactly left with a bag of riches at that position group.
Worrying about losing a commit that means even less in a NIL period seems pointless to me. He may or may not end up at LSU but getting emotional over a commitment in April in NIL era is something else.

After 1 year with a position group that included Gilbert, Sage and Burns? Why? He didn't recruit any of these guys and all 3 of these guys have shown they weren't good players under multiple coaches. At some point the finger has to be pointed at the players.

It's just a rumor of course, but I've heard there are some other good safeties in the 2026 class. There are even some corners who are fully capable of being safeties in college.
There are even (I've heard) a few players on the LSU roster who are practicing at the spot. I also don't think the future portals have been canceled.
It's really too bad this kid is the only person capable of being a good safety for LSU. Just a darn shame, you know?

This isn’t over yet. It’s still very early. I really think the closer it gets to signing day the more pressure LSU puts on the kid. Remember his brother goes to LSU.
