I'm positive he tells some guys to sit on it for a while. Reasons may not be nefarious but theres a patter of Bama commits who lead a team on and then switch late.
It may be to keep some other guys interested but there's definitely something going on.

Sitting on a commitment isn’t the same as elaborate plans of sending kids on OVs. And no body switched. The kids you are referring to were never committed. And just becaus the “experts” said they were leaning LSU doesn’t make it so.

This isn't true at all. Saban plays the game at all levels. He definitely schemes to keep certain players or coaches from LSU. He's gone out of his way to hurt this program plenty of times.

I'm pretty sure Saban is doing it to sabotage other recruiting plans
Bear Bryant was awful about offering scholarships to kids he knew he didn't need just to keep them from going elsewhere.

What do you do for a living to think that this is some ridiculous notion? It’s been a part of corporate strategy since the beginning of time. Do you honestly think that, all things equal, Nick Saban isn’t smart enough to prioritize a player who his opponents desperately need vs. one who has no interest in his opponents? I’m sure if you talked to him he’d tell you that signing a player that helps him AND makes LSU worse off in the future is a much better deal than just signing a player that helps him. There’s nothing far fetched about that, he’s been clearly doing it to us for years with guys like Allen, Williams, Hootie, Surtain, Robinson, Sopsher, etc.

Right. I agree. But I do not believe that Saban is orchestrating Sopsher's visit to A&M to show that Sopsher thinks A&M is a better program than LSU. This OV has nothing to do with us. Alabama flipping Christian Harris has nothing to do with us. Alabama deciding which A&M cornerback (Banks or Carter) to take has nothing to do with us. Saban realizes that Jimbo could be a threat so he's working to take him down a notch.

Oh I think he is just doing to aTm what he has done to LSU. He isnt that conniving, I agree this doesn’t have anything to do with us (of course it does indirectly but that doesn’t matter)
He wants to give other schools hope for kids he has wrapped up so they save a spot and miss
