Jimbo has been a closer for a long time. He's landed some big time players over the past 10 years. I think people would be naïve to think he isn't playing in the dirt.

I love these stories, give me more please lol. I don't think fans will get a true tell all type documentary until players are being paid "legally."

Why, so they can fire Jimbo with cause and get out from under that ridiculous contract? He’s going to flatline that program from within like he did FSU. Let him be.

And Tomball’s just up the road. My nephew had his high school graduation from Tomball at College Station (on campus)

Meat Market is one of my favorite sports books and was some great insight to college football. Feldman has alluded to a sequel coming soon. I hope that's true.

side notes: I live 300 yards from Tomball memorial. It’s the new HS while Tomball is the old school. Also, Jimmy Buckets attended Tomball HS. My name is Sampson thx for letting me share.

Also Jimbo is a shite Head coach and I love that A&M over paid for perennial 8-4/9-3.

I think Jimbo will flop too, but the melt from their fanbase would be glorious if he got fired. Despite being average at best in 2 years, they think this man walks on water. I’ve read Texags a few times and it’s pretty hilarious how stupid/desperate they are to win something of relevance.

If I remember more, I will. I'm no expert insider, but I get around a bit. One cool benefit I got was I'm now very casual buddies with Bruce Hornsby (my son and I have watched the games in Hampton with him for several years). He is a basketball nut, and we struck up a conversation with him one year when his son was playing, and he saw our LSU gear.

I don't know if the NCAA has a statute of limitations, but they should if not.

Did Demas even play for Tomball? All I can find is that he was ineligible.

Seems like a win/win for Tomball.

The guy said Demas sat out his Senior year. He said something about Demas changing schools and so he was ineligible. I asked him what he was talking about and the guy just said he was recruited to play at a different High School, but then had to sit out. Said it didn't matter because he already had his 5 Star rating. I'm a dad, so I don't always understand what these kids are saying, so I just nodded my head at that point.

I believe he went to a public school in a bad part of Houston and transferred out to Tomball but was ruled ineligible. Not sure why he was ruled ineligible.

That would make sense. I remember him saying that High Schools recruit kids too, but aren't supposed to because it's illegal...but they do it anyway.

Sonny Vaccaro and Phil Knight have had their hands in the hs basketball circuit since the 80s and it has never been a secret. Don't know why such a big fuss now all of a sudden with college bball plauers getting paid.

High school coaches play a huge role in recruiting because so many of them are the father figure the player never had. Recruiting is all about getting close to those around the player and a lot of coaches benefit nicely as a result.

Yeah every team pays players that would be drafted high, money to come back. They really should pay them to come back if they are going to get drafted in the 1st or 2and

Just think about not having Fulton last year. Pay him 150k. He is easily worth that to shut a receiver down.
Were you talking about white or moses?
