His offense is not a pass first RPO. Not interested.

Home run my arse. The Cowboys offense went from 22nd in the NFL in 2018 to 1st in 2019 after they fired him
Not to mention that Linehan was hired to be the passing game coordinator. Cause LSU already has an offensive coordinator.

LSU hardly ran RPO plays last season. I know it was talked about a great deal before the season started, but once the season started, LSU only ran RPO plays a few times a game.
Plus, Linehan is hired to be a passing game coordinator and not an offensive coordinator. Not to mention, that LSU also has an offensive playbook and they are not trying to change the offense after all of the success LSU had last season. Now the offense will probably be tailored to match the talent of Myles Brennan, but nonetheless, for the most part it will still be the same offense.

Hes been hired/fired 5 or 6 times in the NFL. So he has hundreds of former coworkers on teams. Yes he can name drop and promise a look in the NFL. Its good for recruiting.

Lol Rattler isn’t blocking CW at Oklahoma any more than Brennan is blocking him here. If you think that Oklahoma isn’t in the race for CW, you are an idiot

We have no way of knowing if a career 11-25 HC is a homerun. We hope it is. If he was so good , why has he never had a long term job in one place?

Dude coached
Culpepper to a 4700 yard 39 TD season (pro bowl, and his best season)
Stafford to a 5000 yard 41 TD season (his best statistical year by a lot)
Romo to a 3700 yards 34 TD season (pro bowl and highest QB rating that year and his best season)
Bulger to a 4300 yard 24 TD season (pro bowl, and his best season)
If he can show recruits this, they should want to flock to him.

So you're telling me we gotta QB whisperer and LSU will become one of the top spots for QB's moving forward?

I honestly dont know what to expect but it seems as though he's been a loser everywhere he's been. People talk about age old or young, Joe Brady was hired based on potential and he soared, this guy here seems as though he's been a loser for decades and favors the old LSU style which would explain why Zeke had so many carries his first couple of years. While I understand that he isnt the OC, Im just curious to know what he told or showed Coach O to get the job! One can only hope that it works out because on paper this hire doesnt make sense at all!

Literally no way of knowing at this time but he has coached several prolific QB/WR combinations in his NFL career.
shite, forgot about the WRs in those years.
Minnesota (2004)
Nate Burleson 68 rec 1008 yards 9 TD
Randy Moss 49 rec 767 yards 13 TD (in only 13 games)
Detroit (2011)
Megatron 96 rec 1681 yards 16 TD (All Pro)
Dallas (2014)
Dez Bryant 88 rec 1320 yards 16 TD (All Pro)
Rams (2006)
Torry Holt 93 rec 1188 yards 10 TD (pro bowl)
Issac Bruce 74 rec 1098 yards 3 TD
Steven Jackson (yes the RB) 90 rec 806 yards 3 TD (pro bowl).

Well we aren't running his offense and our current offense isn't RPO based. We run them some but that's not what the offense is based around

Rattler will remain at Oklahoma for at least two years after CW arrives if Oklahoma is the team he chooses. While Myles will remain at LSU for only one more year after CW arrives if LSU is the team he chooses.

Very few assistant coaches in the NFL have long-term jobs in one place

I am talking about HC and OC jobs.

Uh...no he wont. You think Spencer Rattler is going to need 4 years of college? He's 2 seasons away from being draft eligible. He'll play 2 seasons (one of those would be with CW, if CW in fact chooses Oklahoma) and then leave. Same as Brennan most likely.

Damn. How many of these guys are still in the league?

Romo’s last season was in 2016, you and Lester really believe QB recruits don’t know who he is or watched him play?

I would say this is great for recruiting. You're gonna get coached up by a former NFL head coach? How can that not be really really good.
