I think he's a slot in college unless he chooses to go to Navy and play QB.
ETA: Definitely could be a 3DB in a lot of offenses as well.

U have to bring a linebacker / tightend mentality and in my opinion size at H. Not to mention footwork. While he has the mentality and footwork, Bolden is missing the size for H. Don't believe he is your guy at H.

WTF.....saying LSU is the "dream offer" and announcing Alabama in your top schools.

It's called marketing. I hate them too but an offer from Alabama looks good on a resume.

Slade is a baller. I watch him most Friday nights and he is a huge part of the West Monroe offense (and defense when needed). Unless he grows another 2-3 inches and puts on 15 pounds, he will be undersized for LSU. I think he would be best served at LA Tech as I fear that he would get buried in the depth chart at LSU. Now if he has a growth spurt this year and comes out at 6-1 205 minimum, I think he has a chance at LSU.

He's over 5'11" and under 6' currently. Here's a pic from yesterday. He's all the way to the left.

He sizes up pretty well and hasn't been lifting during baseball season. He'll put on 10-15 pounds over the summer when he starts back lifting heavy. Always does. He drops weight during baseball and puts it back on for football.

He's got the similar measurables and skin tone to McAffrey. Think CM would have played at LSU (under Canada?).

He's better than LA Tech. And I fully support LA Tech. Athletically I think Bolden would have no problem at LSU in Canada's scheme. Its the cultural difference that I think would be deter him from going. Ala Paul Turner.

What? Turner is not white. Or are you talking the academic "culture"? Turner is a very smart guy.

Not sure how well CM would have done under the previous coaching regime, doubt he would have been given much of a chance, as they favored the bigger back like LF, but he would THRIVE in Canada's offense!

I want Bolden in the right system where he can showcase his entire skill set.

NOLA Culture was the issue with Turner wasn't it?

Once again, I think Coach O has taken care of a lot of those issues, beginning the day he took over. He believes in second chances, just not 10+ second chances, no matter how good a football player the kid is.

I think you're right, grown men from NOLA would never shake a cowbell in public and Turner couldn't understand.

That has nothing to do with this situation.

Bolden needs a big opening game against a very stout and athletic defense in John Ehret.

That will seal it with me. I still am waiting for that huge performance against an elite, well-coached, athletic defense. I'm sure that 5 star linebacker Ehret has that is a junior will be spying him all night long. The match-up will be great football to watch.
