Has anyone ever heard of LSU offering any kid from Silliman for football? I know they had a first rounder in baseball about a decade ago but a guy I work with swears they have a few kids in football that LSU has offered that just chose to go elsewhere. I don't remember any kids from there going to a D-1 school in recent years though. It's a privileged white kids private school that I doubt is producing much talent.

I went to silliman.

Lyle hitt was origionaly from silliman before going to park view (more exposure).

Was also a badass baseball player (shilling) who went straight to the pros if I recall correctly.

Indeed. We had 180 LB lineman some years. Talent is scarce in that league. It's MPSA. Only other la schools they played were oak Forrest and central private.

I know a guy named James Posey who was a beast. A regular Meisner.

Spanish dude? I played with him. He was a lineman in JV if that's the same dude. Was maybe 200 lbs soaking wet.

I went there with him and we both left for different high schools. He's good people.

I believe we were in 3rd grade when the first black kid enrolled. He was in 4th.

Schilling was a beast. Hunter Moody was a pitcher who went to ULL. I can't think of any football guys who went D-1. They'd have all been about 10 years older than me since that's when I remember the football team being somewhat competitive.

Wasn't there an Amite school in the MPSA?

You went with me. I was in the 06 class. What's your initials? You're talking about the basketball player. Then there was Rodney who played football.

Yea, it autocorrected "oak" to "pal". Oak Forrest was the amite school. They were legit for a while.

Josie Milton's the closest thing to a BCS-level prospect and schools like Ole Miss, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe (his father's alma mater), West Virginia have shown interest but LSU hasn't offered.

That's it. There was another school or two along the Miss. River in Lousiana. One in Ferriday I remember traveling to.

I remember there being a wicker or whicker kid from silliman that was tough... Think he went to ole miss.

MPSA has produced a few D1 guys. Will Arnold from Centerville academy, Ridley played at Trinity, Traxler from JA..... There are a lot more I'm sure, but then again there are teams with 210 pound offensive linemen
