Centreville.

You didn't like Hunter because he was a good pitcher or as a person?

I went to Silliman as well. Micha Schilling was the 1st rounder. He was drafted by Cleveland, never made it past AA, doesn't play anymore. In 2000 or so they had a QB and pitcher that was a beast and recruited by several D1 schools, including LSU. His name is Jonathan Honea. You never heard about him because he pissed it all away. Had to go to Juco in Mississippi to get his grades up then got hung up on pills and shite.
I personally saw him open letters from LSU, FSU, Penn St, and Notre Dame.
Also Shannon Dawson was a QB at Silliman. Don't recall what he did for college, but he's now the QB coach at WVU under Holgorsen.

Will Arnold went to Certerville but hung out with a lot of Silliman people. When he missed a season from his knee I got to meet him at a tailgate with a bunch of Silliman people.

I graduated from Silliman back in the 90's

Andrew Wicker and Justin Sawyer both played for Silliman and wound up at Ole Miss as O-Linemen. I don't think either were offered by LSU.

Wicker was buddies with Doug Buckles who infamously tripped Eli on that 4th down play in 2003 against LSU

Shannon Dawson as mentioned before was QB at Silliman and now is the OC at WVU. Trey Bullinger was a damn good pitcher for Silliman and played 3 or 4 years for ULL. Shut out LSU in a mid-week game one year when they had a really good team. That was about it though. Silliman is pretty small and most of the best ball players were at a Div II or III level at most.

Roy Corcoran also went to Silliman. He was a pitcher at LSU. I grew up with him. We both played at Jackson High before our baseball coach webt to Northeast. He is still in the minors. As is his brother. Both have been up and down in between MLB and Minors. Centreville has always had a good football team as far back as I can remember. Two Sawyer boys played college ball along with Will. There was also ASC in Liberty that is MPSA as well as WCCA in Woodville. Parklane is out of McComb. My cousin was recruited out of Central Private as a pitcher. He actually played with Bo Jackson when he was trying to come back and Michael Jordan when he was attempting baseball with the White Sox. Although he broke his throwing arm in two places in an accident and never played again.

Point being, those MPSA teams have good players, they just don't get good exposure.

He was pretty cocky which was fine because he was a fine pitcher. However, the reason I didn't like him was because he carried over that cockiness to basketball. A sport he was not so good at.

If you can back it up, talk is fine. If you're getting worked....stop talking.

On the other hand, even though our two schools didn't get along, I did like the Caleb Korsey (sp?) kid. Good athlete and great competitor. Respected him.

I have a little cousin that plays MLB for their middle school team. He will likely try out for QB when he gets into high school. His dad is the one from Central Private. Kid has an arm. Looks like a grown man on the field with all the kids now.

And regarding Roy....one of the best catchers I have ever known. Reminded me of Craig Biggio growing up. Ialso grew up with the Sawyer boys. Mitch and Justin played college ball for Ole Miss. I also played summer ball with them and Justin's little brother Ton. Good guys.

Caleb was always an athlete. And I know what you mean about Hunter. Both were cocky but went about it different ways.

Thing is, attitudes like theirs weren't uncommon at a school like that.

You didn't even have to be talented to have that attitude. Those schools are frat training programs
