We have seen the same song and dance play out so many times. Denial should be over by now for most here. LSU signs a great class but Bama comes by and plucks what would have been the cherry on top.
Most will say he is just one player but this is not true. He is a potentially great player. There is a reason why Bama is competing for national championships year after year. This needs to stop if LSU is going to rise to the next level consistently. Shrugging your shoulders and saying “oh well we missed out on him” is not going to get it done.

Saban has built a recruiting juggernaut the sport has never seen over the last 15 years. It’s not going to flip overnight.
We got plenty of guys Alabama would gladly taken. If we keep getting these top 5 classes, keep developing, and keep grinding, we’ll be back in the title discussion. But Saban is the best and he’s really fricking hard to beat on and off the field.

Emm. Top 7 right now. 7 is good but when the same teams get top 2 or 3 year after year after year they are usually gonna come out on top.

I never said he didn’t pay for players. I’m 100% sure he has/does. But when we all talk about alignment, nobody has more alignment than Saban. That’s why he can drop a briefcase of cash for Ricks at a moments notice.

we beat their arse this year and we'll beat their arse next year in bryant denny, our guys controlled their "5 star" athletes this year
it's more about scouting and development over stars, good coaches can see potential in players that "recruiting experts" can't

We are dbu. This will not change whether we sign Ricks or not. I hope he wants to be a part of that but he will be ok and so will we.

Saban is the best because he’s bee out paying players for years.
He’s an average on field coach without superior talent.
A&M beat him last year at paying players.
He’s not going to let that happen again.
Other schools just have to catch up.

You realize that in order to maintain a moniker like DBU a program can’t depend on other teams leftovers or disgruntled players (Portal).
The guys that made LSU the legit DBU were HS Recruits brought in as freshmen & developed into top caliber DBs by the time they’re RS Sophomore’s / Junior’s & ready made for NFL Greatness!!

Explain how he beat vastly more talented teams during his first two years here if he is just another average coach. The guy knows his football. Saying anything else is just a case of sour grapes. It's gonna take BK beating him on the field consistently over the next few years to get to that level. Unfortunately Bama's dominance will not magically vanish after just one 2 loss season.
