Damn. Is he the (semi) out of left field NSD guy? If he is in, than who is out?

This whole time, I honestly thought Key was from South Carolina. Who says TD isn't educational?

The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder shared a few images on Snapchat that showed his real interest. He took a lap around Death Valley and typed the words “in love” over that video image on one of his snaps.

Felton said that Bryant had a different reaction to his LSU official. He had a genuine feel for the place. It didn’t seem like Georgia earned that same response when Bryant was in Athens for his official earlier this month.

“He just kept calling me and telling me he loved everything about LSU,” Felton said. “The stadium. The coaches. It has been a while since he smiled so hard like he did on that visit and had such a great time. I was talking to him this morning and LSU is up in the running from him.”

His high school coach also felt like the LSU visit was Bryant’s best official up to this point.

“I am going to be honest with you and say that LSU might have been the first time he’s been this excited (about recruiting) since our first trip when this first started happening,” Felton said. “It was all brand new to him. LSU was something just brand new to him. It was all just brand new to him.”

Key is out of the Atlanta area, but at one time was a SC lean or commit before becoming a Tiger.

Bryant would fit right in as a Key protege' and would be a take if Chaisson goes to Texas. There's so many LB's and OLB's in play right now. Some of them better start committing because we're gonna run out of room on NSD. Just because of depth at the position, I'd take both Chaisson & Bryant over Harris & Amik.

Todd or Justin Harris? I ask becuase Justin is a DE but Amik is a DB like Todd. That being said I'd take either over both Harris'. I feel like Amik is a take if there is room. He reminds me of Mathieu, but the chances of lightening striking twice is rare.

Agree.. We need a much stronger foothold in GA, FL, Bama and the Carolinas IMO. If we could do that it would take care of all our issues every year with quality players at positions of need. Louisiana has tons of great players but lacks key positions every year. This would also hinder our competitions efforts in recruiting as well. I never did like how Miles basically stayed out unless we had someone with strong ties. Gotta be willing to fight for these guys especially now that we have this amazing staff. Need to take advantage of this. Winning will help all this of course but most importantly LSU must compete with the Bama's, USC's, Ohio States, Michigans, Clemsons, of the nation every year when we play these guys we need to at least look good doing it. Not stall and look sloppy whole losing. Needs to be a battle on the field and if we lose we lose but at least we will be competing and when you do that you won't lose them all. I think we will begin to see this, no more shutouts or blowouts from us but also putting the smack down on teams we should. GT

Awesome! He would be a great addition, and would make me feel a lot better if we end up losing out on Chaisson. Of course, I want BOTH guys!

Arden Key is one of LSU's best recruiting pieces: Out of state kid who came here because of O; played significant snaps as a true Freshman and is in the running to possibly be the #1 overall pick next season. It's difficult to think LSU will be able to find another as good as he is, but telling recruits "you could be the next one" is a big selling point.

Was talking about Todd. He's a definite take in any other year, but we already have a few safeties on campus in this class. If we have room he's in. I don't know if Justin Harris can make grades, but looks like a raw project at this point. Would be better off greyshirting or JUCO. I'd take Bryant of J. Harris any day, but then again, if there's room .......

Bryant's coach is named Shelton Felton. That drips with swag.
