Harbor runs a 10.32 100-meter
Saw this video of Nyckoles Harbor running the 100 meter. LSU is recruiting him and are apparently in a decent spot to land him. Would be ecstatic if we land him.
He runs a 10.32, and he is a DE/egde guy. Freakish talent. Amazing how somebody that big runs so fast.

We made his top 7. Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, South Carolina and USC.

LSU TIGERS
Harbor's father, Azuka, played soccer at Alabama A&M and then as a pro for more than a decade, making 15 appearances for the United States national team. Because of that, he has a lot of connections and some happen to be with LSU. Azuka is able to to transfer some of the knowledge to Nyckoles. Key components working in LSU's favor is the ability to develop edge rushers while also having a high-level track and field program. The Tigers won the outdoor national championship in 2021. Getting to campus to experience a game day atmosphere could be a big thing for Harbor and the Tigers.

He’s been at the top of my want list since the recruiting cycled turned over. I was ecstatic to see us mentions and a certain someone not lol.

Looks like we have a good shot at him after reading this. Would be another huge pickup. Ran a 10.28 100M at 6'5" 225 lbs
99.56 247 Composite rating,#7 overall class of 2023.
"TRACK WILL WEIGH HEAVILY IN COLLEGE DECISION"
"Harbor’s determination to compete in collegiate track is well known by the football programs pursuing him. A few of those gridiron suitors have received huge assists from their track coaches. Harbor has been effusive in his praise of USC’s track program recently, but during his interview with TMI he made it a point to single out a couple others.
“LSU with Coach (Tamara) Ards,” said Harbor. “I love her. I love LSU. LSU always comes to play...
Whereas Maryland is hoping to reach that championship level one day, LSU has been a fixture in that conversation for the last two decades. The Tigers are hoping for a quick return to contention under new headman Brian Kelly, and they’re pitching Harbor on being one the keys to their success on both the gridiron and track.
“Coach Jamar Cain, me and him just built a relationship (when he was at).Oklahoma,” Harbor said. “He is my track coach Victor (Blackett’s) favorite coach. He loves Coach Cain. I think that's the only coach he really knows. Then with Coach (Tamara) Ards too, it was like a perfect fit. (Cain) started to introduce me to all their coaching staff, and then with Coach Ards it was (an instant connection) And LSU was my first track home visit. So, that was a very big thing too.”

Looks like his dad just happens to be a NASA engineer. Yeah, let’s sign this kid up!

Would make a good WR
Possible faster Calvin Johnson.
I'd love to see some football tape though. I'd like to see how the kid takes contact on the football field. Does he deliver it? Is he scared of it? If he delivers contact the sky is the limit for this kid.

Looks like he’s leaning toward playing offense, similar to Kyle Pitts role.
Didn’t listen to the entire interview but this was the biggest takeaway for me. He said his best weight range for football/track combo is 225-230. If that stays the same, as he gets older the offensive side of the ball has to be his place with his height. He’d have to bulk up more to play Edge in the SEC plus LSU has a serious need at TE in this class. Go get him BK

I heard pro track may be an option, or is he set on NCAA football?
Posted on 7/10/22 at 1:38 pm to BayouPride
He says in the interview he doesn't want to go straight pro right now. Wants to experience college first.

It will be interesting to see how he will be handled from a strength & conditioning standpoint once he's goes to college. Do you keep him around 225lbs or does he bulk up an extra 10-15 lbs? He's such a rare prospect.

That dude could be our TE.
Bulk up to 250 at 6'5", and still probably run a 10.5-10.7. OMG
