we arent Miss St and Arkansas. We dont make a living out of recruiting 3 stars and telling ourselves and everyone that they should be 4 or 5 stars

can these 3 stars win us the sec west?
It has never happened for Ole Miss or Arkansas In the history of the SEC. But hey, it might just be a coincidence. I mean look at that impressive offer list or just say the classic....very underrated.

Id be surprised if Fox ends up at LSU. Shea didn't CB him, he switched it to foggy.

Believe the Honey Badger was a 3-star from St Aug....and he turned out OK. No doubt, gotta have the right mix (star-ratings), but I trust DA and Canada to develop these guys and put them in a position to excel.

Boy you Dummies are hung up on stars, that list is a solid list of players. A 3* I bet is more hungry to start than a 5*. Most 3* players are players that couldn’t make it to camps to show their talents, so they fly under the radar so to say. They only have film and recruiters going to games to evaluate them.
Most of those kids probably didn’t have the funds to go to those expensive camps. A 5* and I say most of them doesn’t have the heart and soul like a 3*
The 3* wants to show the world. So I wouldn’t be talking bout stars and talking down on the 3* guys

Im glad we are getting back to focusing on these "diamond in the rough" under evaluated Louisiana kids like Lord Saban did in the early 2000s. These kids love LA and LSU and see it as an honor to play in TS. These five star kids are looking to leave quick as possible. The fact of the matter is you put these 3 star river parish kids in states like Al, Tenn, Ky, Missiouri, etc. they would look like 5 stars. The competition that these kids are playing even just joe smoshs that won't go to college are decent athletes in Louisiana especially the river parishes.

Mathieu being an unheralded recruit is a complete myth, he got on everyone's radar after showing up to camps and dominating. I think it all started at a Tennessee camp.

Yeh. He was the best DB at the Vols camp

why the hell are we offering guys who only get offers from sunbelt schools?
Posted on 11/2/17 at 3:13 pm to LSUfan00
I don't think LSU is looking at 247 star rankings

I'm going to put all this 3* 4* 5* non sense to bed. The difference between LSU and OM or Arkansas 3* players is that LSU gets the pick of the litter. Not only does LSU get the 3* but we also get the highly ranked 4* and 5* recruits like Marshall, and Surtain to go with them. When OM landed all 3 types of players weren't they good enough to beat Bama? So it's not a matter of getting 3* players, it's a matter of getting your pick of 3* players to fill up your roster while you are still adding and have 4* and 5* talent all over your team.
Does LSU qualify as that type of team? Yes they do. Now does Arkansas? No. Does State? No. Does A&M? When they could get all 3 type rated kids, they also beat bama and many other teams. So it's not about if we get X amount of 3* recruits, unless we landed all 3* players and didn't have 5* talent that came in front or will come behind.
Another issue with your complaint about Orgeron only recruiting 3* is that it's his staffs first real year on the trail. Let the staff get to know these recruits ahead of time, and especially when we have a down year in LA and he's just gotten started. It looks like next year is going to be better so shut the frick up with your ignorant complaints. You all sound like a bunch of overexcited kids, when the world didn't turn the exact way you wanted it to or would like it to.

If 3 Quarterbacks are in play, Bohahon, Foster and Baldwin. which fits Canada's Offense best?

Mo Claiborne was the 3 star kid that LSU offered late. He committed as a WR and moved to CB almost immediately. His recruitment heated up mid season of his senior season. Bennie Logan is another that wasn't offered until the end of senior season. He was a 2 star bumped to a 3 because of senior film, but had top 100 quality film his senior season. Another back woods LA kid that didn't camp and no one knew anything about.
