Unless we are getting Leigh and the guard who decommitted from Auburn, we cannot salvage this O line haul. Not even remotely close.

Maybe, maybe not. There is no way for you to know that.

There are over 80 offensive linemen in the portal as of today, and more added everyday.

There are a handful of good high school prospects and a few junior college recruits left.

LSU needs 2-3. Whether it’s the desired path or not, there is good chance LSU's haul will be fine.

Two 4 stars per class at a minimum, hopefully a few 5 stars.

The 3 and 4 star potential future all-sec linemen are everywhere. We just need more scouts and better evaluators. i.e. Cushenberry, Lewis

ground breaking news

It's actually pretty important. These are the kinds of problems that Miles used to just ignore. Yes, O has fricked some things up.

BUT YOU CANNOT DENY THAT THE MAN MAKES CHANGES TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. For me as a fan, it's the second most important thing behind winning.

Alabama signed 2. Ohio State signed 1, Wisconsin signed 1, Georgia signed 1, and we are in the running for 1 and landed Dellinger who was a 5-star early in his recruitment by some.

Alabama, osu, Georgia, Clemson have always been consistently signing them.

Why can't we be in the that tier?

Why don't we want to be in that tier?

Georgia’s 5 star O-linemen have been from Georgia. Additionally, most suspect Georgia of egregious recruiting violations as well. The answer for the other 2 is obvious. If we would have gotten back to the playoffs this year we would have gotten Leigh and maybe the Brockermeyers.

Not necessarily true.

2017 Georgia for Isiah Wilson from NJ
2018 Cade Mays from TN
2019 clay Webb from AL

They do get good Georgia Olineman but Kirby has gone national.

Outside of 5*s all the schools I listed always get the top 4* centers, guards etc.

I just think we should be there since O is this mater recruiter.

For the first time since 2014, Clemson had an offensive lineman picked in the NFL Draft when the Las Vegas Raiders took guard John Simpson with the No. 109th overall pick in the fourth round Saturday in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is just the third Clemson offensive lineman drafted in the Dabo Swinney

LSU had as many offensive linemen drafted in 2020 as Dabo has had in 12 years.

It also helps that Clemson doesn’t have to face a defensive line with a pulse until the playoff each year

No HS kid that is good will tolerate being LSUs Or anyone’s backup plan. There are 50 schools recruiting for offensive lineman. Yes the 3 stars will.. LSU has chosen to compete nationally and try to match Alabama. So we have to,go,after out of state kids... they are not LSU loyalists. So we are going to be left at the alter many times.

What is it that you do not understand.

Of course we want to, but you are getting too caught up in the 5-star label.

Offensive line is the hardest position to scout and project.

I agree, our O line for the greatest team ever was Charles a 3 star, Ingram a 4 star, Cushenberry a 2 star, Lewis a Juco 3 star and Deculus a 4 star. I think the most important thing is getting them to stay in the shstem working on technique, nutrition, conditioning and lifting. A 3 star kid is a 5 star his senior year.

LSU, on Leigh's trip to BR, should've drowned him in pussy so that this GF shite would've been an afterthought. I mean you're 18 or 19 with all the pussy you can handle and you're looking to be tied down? Hey, he has his whole life to be miserable with one woman why do it this early?

Between the sacks of boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp and double stacked breasts sacks at LSU, should be be an easy sell.

The real “no duh” moment is Coach O suddenly nearing the end making the Oline his focus,

I pray for the day we can consistently land 4* lineman
which sucks because we were doing that before Cregg got here.

2015 Grimes First Year recruiting
5 star, 2 more top 105 overall 4 stars
2 3 stars

Grimes Year 2
2 top 185 overall 4 stars
2 3 stars

Grimes Year 3
Top 40 overall 4 star
2 more 4 stars
3 star

Grimes Year 4
JUCO 4 star #7 overall
JUCO 3 star
2 more 3 star

Grimes averaged 4 OL commits per class and had 9 4 star+ in that span (an average of two per class).

Grimes also got a commitment from Kardell, Hines, and Ingram during that time.

We just whiffed on Roberts.

We are certainly going to whiff on Leigh.

This is an unmitigated disaster.
