If Shea knew that then why was he predicting Hootie to LSU this whole time? Seems like some pretty basic information that a supposed insider would figure out pretty quick.

Such bullshite. He is either covering for LSU or is admitting that he doesn't know anything more than the rest of us.

Because Hootie likes LSU. He loves LSU. That's why he isn't ripping us like CRob did. Even thanked the LSU fans for support. He just made a business decision and that decision was Alabama.

...and why did he feel the need to give 3 different reasons that obviously weren't true?

so he's always wanted to go to Bama, but he was gonna go to LSU until 20 minutes before his announcement?

i've heard 3868306839538 different reasons for why this kid did what he did.

That's just the way God wanted it because LSU was out worked, didn't break enough rules, and was mean to his mom.

I'm not buying this. I remember a quote from Hootie a week or so before CRob went Bama where he said he didn't think him and CRob saw eye to eye on their leaders. I think this is Hootie being respectful towards LSU, but I think we were his leaders and we were either out worked or messed up to lose him

This new recruiting catch phrase is such cop-out bull shite.

Agreed. LSU is putting just as many players in the Pros and has spots to fill for more immediate playing time (at this particular time). Makes no sense at all.

I honestly think the 2011 NC game just caught up with us. Cam rob was quoted at how impressed he was after that game, it put bama on the pedestal not LSU. We play ok st camrob and hootie are dressing up for LSU next year. They watched bama come into LA and destroy the home team, winning is everything, we must win

Boom!!! End of conversation!

Exactly. Quit it with the nonsense and playing LSU and its fans. It's dishonest and people are rightfully upset.

You guys are over complicating a very simple situation. There's a bama booster in Monroe paying these guys. Everything else is lip service. They're following the money. Poke around, I've seen his name posted before although I can't remember it. Otherwise I'd post it up.

As I have said many times before the shite that Miles put on the field 1/9/2012 cost LSU a lot more than 1 crystal trophy. That game alone will haunt Miles for ever (and it should).

Correct me if I'm wrong but we've lost two recruits since then to Bama (CRob and Hootie); others?

I don't buy the wanting to leave the state garbage. One could argue that going to south Louisiana from Monroe is more of a culture change than going to Alabama.

LSU should have thrown a bone to Sims in order to get the other 2 and waited until next year to get a 2 star kicker.

Flame on me if you want. All I know is I can't remember any big name recruits leaving the state when the other guy was coaching here.

I don't think it is fair to call Shea out. He works hard to get as much info as possible. Is any insider always right? To be honest, thinking in terms of right or wrong is a bad approach. He passes along info and gives an opinion. You can choose to put stock in his opinion or not, but that's on you.

Hootie has verbally committed to someone other than LSU, and it stings many of you in many different ways. He has been very clear in his respect and love for LSU. A lot can happen between now and when a signature hits a page. Hootie should continue to feel extremely welcome in Baton Rouge. There will be significant commitments to LSU and serious momentum built. There will be booms of both the mini and mushroom cloud variety. Lighten up guys, the future is extremely bright for the Fighting Tigers. You just never know who could end up in this class.

Perrilloux was committed to UTex before Saban left.

You must be one of those LSU fans who still lets that game affect their daily life.

Perrilloux was never going to Texas!!! He was trolling them like crazy. And like I said, did he leave? Nope. Besides, we all saw how he turned out. That is a hell of an example (or lack of an example) you picked.
