In addition to moonlighting with Dandy Don's he is now writing for "And the Valley Shook" as a special contributor.

Taking a look at what’s out there for LSU’s remaining spots in the Class of 2019.

Updating LSU’s Recruiting Board Following Donte Starks’ Commitment

Here’s a look at the top remaining positional needs:

Running Back
Wide Receiver
Offensive Tackle
Defensive Line
Cornerback

Here are the top Louisiana targets left on the board:

Gauging the current temperature in the room, LSU is in the pole position with the trio of blue-chip prospects from Tangipahoa Parish, as well as Parker — if he’s a take. Then, expect LSU to land one of Emery or Cain in December,

Edwards camped in Baton Rouge in June and drew the attention of defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, who worked out the three-star prospect. In talking to sources in the building, it seems likely that eventually LSU and Edwards will go in different ways.

Second time I've heard this recently. That's interesting have too few spots.

Wonder if getting C. Harris would have any effect on keeping McCallum

We definitely do NOT need two WR’s . We could take two and I’d be cool with that if the kid is a baller, but we don’t need two after last year’s haul. I’d rather load up on the interior.

Regardless of whether you agree with that or not, we can probably all agree that that list is a testament to how well we have filled needs in 2018 , through transfers and now 2019. You have to applaud the staff for taking care of business.

All for Palmer and Pickens at WR and Lee as LB/S. A lot of WR talent in state for class of 2020.

I agree Pimp. I’m getting excited about a good season. Barring serious or numerous injuries.

I see that Spiegelman's been reading what I've posted on here even before Edwards camped at LSU.

I doubt it. Didn't you say we weren't getting the amite boys?

Never said anything about the Amite crew.Only Louisiana kids I've had much info on is Emery and Starks.I had another post on Emery titled "Just a heads up" from early June and it was a long thread with info, but for some reason the topic was deleted.

We should just rename the recruiting board the “what Sam Spiegelman did today board.”
Starting to get ridiculous.

I've met Spiegelman a couple times.Nice guy but didn't come across as someone with deep inside sources to the LSU football program or recruiting at all.

I think he's a mixture of sources and direct messages from recruits. Sort of a hybrid.

For some reason I just believe that Spigs and Jimmy Details are going to end up on Rivals covering LSU.

He seems like a highly competent individual. He needs to get the hell out of recruiting journalism and find a field where he can put his skills to work.

IMO I believe LSU pulls Emery when all said and done, I even read where his dad was becoming more open to how LSU wanted to use him.

Either that or his dad is now realizing what a dumb move it would be to sway his boy to MS when he has a spot held for him at LSU. You know the place that produced RB after RB even in our dark days.

I don't see RBs pouring out of MS and there's probably a good reason for that. Being a RB at LSU almost guarantees you will be picked high in the draft. I never understood why he would be pushing his boy to MS and even if my dad was pushing me, I'd be pushing back. The evidence is clear IMO.

No offense, BUT his name is in the thread title.

If you do not want to read LSU recruiting updates on the LSU recruiting board you don't have to. It is your choice.
