This class has actually been better than I thought given the coaching change and Title IX issues. The portal certainly helped and we still have the afternoon announcements to geaux. What has impressed me though is all the work already being put into and offers going out for next year….some studs in that group and we’re just getting started!!

I'm not worried about it. Give Frank et al a year or two, the fence will be back up as best it can be - I don't think it will ever be perfect with the NIL possibilities. But if we can get 3/4 of the LA top 20 each year, poach our usual TX, MS, FL kids, and recruit a couple nationally, we'll be competing for titles.

we got left in the dust with NIL. We tried to be somewhat legit with it ( and within state law) and most everyone else went in aggressively.

As long as kids are getting offered large sums of money before they have proven themselves, there is no fence. College football that most of us grew up loving is over. I believe college athletes deserve more than they got in the past but to allow it to be a recruiting tool will destroy the sport.
