Remember reading a while back that if Joiner grew anymore they'd consider him at H back/F in this offense? Any truth to that? at this point, we need the depth at RB, not HB

I am not worried about running back depth. We get a good one this year and that will be plenty. RB's are one of the few position that freshman can contribute. We good!

Dalton Hilliard and Gary James - both Freshman and ran a ton for LSU in '82.

Fournette will be a junior or redshirt soph next year. Not sure which. Curry and Provens will be freshmen. That's enough to bridge the gap until 2019 although I hope they go after Anthony Williams too this year.

Spoke to Joiner and his father at the game. Told him we really needed him but didn't press him for a decision. Believe it's LSU or Auburn.

Emmons would be a better choice than Joiner if we are going to sign 3 backs this cycle.

Should be able to start immediately next season or at least split carries.

And yet has not shined when givin his opportunities. Brosette is too slow for the SEC.

All D1 prospects are good in HIGH SCHOOL.

I don't completely disagree with you, but I see more hesitancy than lack of speed or burst. Hopefully, he'll be faster with more reps and playing time. However, you might be correct, and he may never see much playing time.

I mean...Yeah, this is true, but there's a pretty big difference between being "D1" good in high school and being "Louisiana's all time leading rusher" good, don't ya think?

I think this kid Jeremy Banks would be a great addition for our backfield. A big kid and looks lie he runs hard. I would take this kid over Harold Joiner

Considering the high school Brosette went to and the players they recruit vs who they play no it doesn't necessarily translate to the SEC.

I like Provens. Natural runner, good speed, and makes sharp cuts. Good vision too.

Devin White is NOT in the stable. He's an elite linebacker and needs to stay there.

Brossette may not stick around if we get Provens, Curry and Joiner.

Curry and Joiner both signed, sealed and delivered next Feb would be HUGE for the program.

I think O is going to make this happen - I think he's relaxed about it, even. He's worried about linemen, particularly OLinemen - there aren't enough available - that's the problem, so we literally have to take almost anyone who will come who could possibly play in the conference.

And do that again in 2019.

Trey Quinn was Louisiana's all time leading receiver, and he could not crack the top four at LSU.

If this is true, Grimes needs to go. Either way Grimes needs to go.

We did that last year and, through no one's fault on staff (past or present), he [Stewart] literally quit on the day he was supposed to begin.

It's stuff like that especially bothers me about having no choice but to take anyone we can. And yeah, we're kind of in that situation.

And worth noting, we better have a better technicals/fundamentals position coach if we're taking these projects. Let Robinson coordinate the run game, and let Canada decide protection schemes and go get someone who can teach 'raw' OL how to block at this level AND will ride that arse about weightroom/classroom.
