So I’ve been trying to keep up with the Sospher situation and I’m trying to understand. Why if we want Ishmael do we have to sign his bro who isn’t even in football RN and Bama doesn’t have to deal with that

Because we are desperate and they aren't. Sopshers have a ton of leverage on us, zero on Bama. When's the last time you think someone told Saban how something was going to happen?

Ish Soph is as soft and entitled as they come! He will be an absolute FLOP at the collegiate level.....you heard it here first. We can only HOPE that he chooses someone other than LSU.

Just forget about Sopsher. Kid isn’t coming here. Our staff has accepted this and is doing the smart thing, which is focusing on other targets. DL class will probably be pretty disappointing this year, but should be extremely strong next year.

At this point it seems more like the reason to recruit him is because of the pipeline and his status in the rankings. Obviously the staff wants him because he is the top DL recruit in the state, but this is more than just getting a top player in Louisiana. Unfortunately, O can’t just stop recruiting the guy (nor should he), or else Amite players will look at this instance in the future. Lose/Lose situation
