Can we keep him as a rb coach for now and “assoc. recruiting coordinator” to make him happy?

Then after the signing day hire some kind of “running game coordinator” that takes on the real role and responsibilities?

Stop what? Answering the question about the drama and rumor mill? You look far more like a Karen right now than I do, sport.

The whole I’m not signing with LSU unless Frank Wilson is there stuff is ridiculous. If they don’t go to LSU, there’s a pretty good chance they’re still going to go a place where Frank isn’t coaching.

Losing recruits these days is not as bad as in the past.LK with the 30mil nil will more than make up for losses in recruiting. As successful as he has been at OM shows how good he is at football talent evaluation.Welcome to the new era ofLSU TIGER FOOTBALL.GEAUX TIGERS!!!

They’ll forget about Frank when they get their first check.

Agreed. Sounds like Lane and other trustworthy assistants will need to get directly involved with NOLA to counteract this. Will take time and may have a short term negative impact, but you can’t employ someone you straight up can’t trust.

You want Lane to lose the trust of the football coaches at Edna Karr?

frick Edna Karr. They’re going to tell their players to go to the place offering them the most NIL possible. They have zero loyalty to Louisiana or LSU

Let’s set the record straight. He’s not bashing LSU at all. He’s telling kids to wait to see what happens with him and the rest of the staff. Karr isn’t going to shun the biggest football program in the state to save Frank’s arse

I’m on Lanes side. He’s a lousy coach

Agree. Lane should build a new staff. Frank coaches RBs and they have not been great.

Where is Verge? He knows Frank the best. He needs to have a talk with him, like yesterday.

I'm hoping it is more like, Frank telling the players - "I can't tell you if I'm going to be here right now. And, if you really are having doubts, just wait until the staff is settled".

However, if he is actually callilng recruits and telling them not to sign because he probably won't be here, he needs to be fired immediately. Can't have a traitor coaching this team in whatever stupid bowl they "earned".

Bottom line, Verge needs to step up and get the facts from Frank.

This literally happened in 2017 with Juluke and Craig firings and prominent NOLA coaches blackballed us. Frank is far more beloved. It absolutely could happen.

Juluke tried and failed when other local coaches gathered up and completely discredited him and painted him as simply a malcontent.

Lane is going to do what he needs to do. Surely he knows that he wants Frank on staff but if it means not getting the RB coach he wants and maybe loses out on Lacy in the portal?

Honestly Frank needs to be moved out of position coach and into player dev and recruiting. His on field success is lacking the last few seasons

Sounds like a threat. And a new coach is not gonna let that slide and look weak. No way he stays if this is true.

If he wanted to coach, he should have learned how.
LSU paid him $900,000 last year to do what most of us think was abysmal coaching. He is grossly overpaid, and it is strictly due to his NOLA recruiting ability. If he wants to blow that gig out of silly pride, he is much dumber than I thought.
