So blaming the LSU staff for dishonesty and underhandedness is "letting us down easy?"

If I believed him, I'd be pissed at Miles and Co.

Since I don't, I kind of dislike the elder Randle for his dishonesty.

Maybe Mr. Randle the father doesn't mind the backlash now since there is a car salesman position open for him in Norman. The Rhett Bomar ghost employee position. J/K

I just can't understand the reasoning behind getting on the radio and doing this. It just makes no sense especially since they've handled things so well until now. If it is indeed OU or Bama why not just say that is simply where his heart was? Did you think you'd get away with calling the local team's coaches liars? Just not the smartest move

That's what I was trying to say in my previous post.

That was my question. Was something said on the radio to spark Mr. Randle's call? Or did he just call in own his own to make a splash??

I haven't heared it yet but its 100% his dad. Dmitch got on earlier and didn't say shite about it. So much for all the bullshite that it was just RR's decision. His daddy must enjoy the hype and had to get his little 2 sense in before signing day. If he goes elesewhere i will root against him for this!!

Definitely don't get it...it reminds me of the end of Jamarkus McFarland's recruitment.

I doubt seriously that Reubens dad is stupid.
He may however be helping smooth the final decision for Rueben. It is heartwrenching for us, no doubt.

Smooth the final decision? By publicly announcing his problems with LSU?

The guy absolutely flamed the fire. Things are going to be much worse than they would have been had he simply said that Reuben decided that Bama/Oklahoma was the best fit.

The entire situation doesn't make sense.

#1. The guy is the #1 WR recruit in the nation. LSU gains no advantage by lying about who he'll be competing with.

#2. If Randle and co., have received conflicting information, why wouldn't they have discussed this with the coaching staff? Why let the situation go to the day before signing day?

#3. Based on the way that this entire recruiting process was handled, with the limited amount of information available, why in the world would the guy come out and slam LSU on the eve of signing day? It just doesn't make sense.

from what i gather from the other thread, a guy from a local NBC station is doing a story on Randles recruitment tonight. apparently he went on the radio station and told the host that Randles father told him he wont go to LSU if Benton does.

thats apparently why the father called in.

yeah.. this is much better than if the kid just politely picked up a sooner bonnett tomorrow, and said he'd struggled mightily but decided to go elsewhere...
