It is a bit concerning, because that one is always a little bit tough for us for some reason. However, I think Missouri had a pretty good meet for them, where as we had a fairly bad one (well, a pretty lackluster and subpar second half, though the first half was great). If we can improve on floor and beam and relatively maintain on vault and bars as from last week, I feel good about our chances.

Sad about Morgan Hurd but you know Jenny has got to be thinking ‘well at least I don’t have to find a place for her this year’. I’m not meaning that to be mean but she is going to have a hell of a job managing those lineups every week. It’s gotta be tough for some of those girls to go from making every lineup or at least one last year to either 1,2 or none. Also if they don’t use trinity in the AA all year and then bring her in the end (ala Maggie nichols) and she wins aai award over Natalie wochick sp? I’m going to be pissed.

Rant over lol

I wish Haleigh and Sami would be well enough to help out on vault and bars. It looks like that most likely will not happen. Missouri is ranked 2nd on beam. Helen Hu is back and superb on that event.

Honestly I’m praying that Wojcik wins the AAI over Trinity. If you look at her academic path and what she’s majoring in (I may be wrong but I think I remember hearing that she’s a triple major, double minor at a more academically rigorous institution than Florida) as well as the fact that she has 2 national titles (team and beam) to her name vs Thomas’s 0, as well as her leadership, I would hands down choose her over trinity for the aai winner any day of the week. Her resume speaks for itself

I wondered why they didn’t use her on bars? Also wonder if Sami will be in bars this weekend and who will replace hayleigh. Elena on vault, Aleah, on bars and beam, bump Christina up on floor and let kj anchor. What do y’all think?

I am totally for Natalie but I feel like it could be Maggie all over again where she comes in at nationals, wins aa and they give it to her because of her name. I’m assuming super seniors can’t win this year?

My guess for replacements is Elena on vault, Brock on bars, Aleah on beam, Christina on floor. If we need to replace both Sami and Haleigh for bars then maybe tori (I think she was wearing grips at the meet last week) or Aleah although I’d still love to see Elena there! If Aleah was sick or has missed gym time I wouldn’t push her to do floor this week.

And I think AAI will be Natalie for the reasons stated. The coaches were willing to give Luisa SEC gymnast of the year over Trinity…

Friday’s meet is postponed (likely won’t be rescheduled). Hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

Your research is very appreciated….do you think we should have and would you start a “wbb recruiting sticky”?

Gotta be frustrating for the girls. I couldn’t imagine having to deal with this dumb shite for another year.

Looks like Mizzou will be competing against SEMO on Monday. Happy they didn’t lose out on a home meet.

Looks like we will have one less "road meet" if it can't be rescheduled

Yeah. I’m wondering if Jay could convince another team to possibly have a Sunday or Monday meet. With a lot of meets being postponed, I’m sure there are other teams that could use another score. A road meet/away score is very crucial to LSU’s NQS. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

It looks like Missou will miss the meet this Monday with SEMO.

The Redhawks will not be traveling to Columbia, Missouri, Monday, Jan. 17, as previously announced due to COVID-19 protocols within the Missouri program.

Now I’m wondering if LSU and Mizzou will shoot for a Sunday or Monday meet later on in the season.
