She’ll be around next year as well. Her boyfriend is on the football team (Jontre Kirklin) and will be there next year as well so I’m guessing Kennedi will be around I’m guessing

If my mental math is working (because road to nationals wasn’t updated yet when I checked), I think LSU may be third after this week - not that it super matters, it can be a good confidence boost!

LSU has the 3rd highest score in the country two weeks in.
This is with a Kiya Johnson who is struggling and without our best lineups right now.

Thought it interesting that several good teams had a rougher second meet than first meet (OU, UT, FL, bama, GA now potentially has a few injuries). Bama especially really blew up on beam.
Also OK/big 12 must have much more lax COVID rules than the SEC because I swear I saw Maggie Nichols in the background after she was just away for a wedding yet Gnat has to miss two meets...

Just watched ona loper's bars routine. She scored a 9.925 with a double back dismount. That routine construction would be a perfect fit for Alyona.

LSU on their way to have back to back SEC freshmen of the year
Would be wild for Aleah to win it next year but that competition is gonna be insane competing against Sunisa, Riley, Morgan, Wong. This might be one of the strongest freshmen classes in the SEC in a while.

Tigerbait, who in that group is going to Florida? Am I correct that Sunisa is Auburn? Please tell me the other 3 aren’t all going to Florida lol.

Auburn- Sunisa Lee
Florida- Morgan Hurd, Riley McCusker, Leanne Wong and Sloans Blakely. Legit this is as good as it could ever get for a recruiting class in college gymnastics. 3 of them have a legit shot to make the Olympic team. Most top teams get maybe 1 or 2 of the top elites in a class but they took it to another level adding Wong late in the process.
Georgia’s recruiting is not where it should be
Alabama has a very solid class with Jordyn Paradise, Lilly Hudson and Corinne Bunagan (Olivia Dunnes old teammate).

Also, what about Shilese Jones? Any word on where she is going - I thought it was supposed to be Florida, but she didn’t sign, I don’t think (also makes me wonder if they pulled her scholarship in favor of Wong since Wong since Wong signed late)

Not sure where she’s headed. Her bio still says future gator but no year. Makes me wonder if she changed her mind about UF due to the lack of a scholarship for her. Do we have room for her next year in terms of a scholarship?

I heard a rumor that Shilese loves training and being in elite, so maybe she wanted to dangle around in it a little bit longer?
I'm curious as well though because there is no definite decision on when or if she ends up at Florida.
They could open up a scholly if LSU ends up getting Sophia Butler to come on down
Side note, exhibitions are likely gonna be done this weekend. Curious when Ryan does vault if they do the full or the 1.5. Jay says its been lights out in the gym but they want to bring her along slowly.

Probably the consistency of the double Arabian.
I though Ballard look great as well. I mean I’m all for her doing simple passes with clean execution. A 9.875 type routine is still an upgrade over what Dean is doing on floor. Not attacking Bridget, she’s great but that’s just not her event. Sometimes less is more.
I hope Arenas does well when she gets the chance on floor. It appears Jay wants Olivia Dunne in the floor lineup but they are focusing on her health right now. We may actually see Dunne on beam this week.
