This interview sheds some light on Shilese's feelings at this point. I'm thinking she will try for the world team.

Morgan Hurd said on Golden she’s not sure about college. She has no mention of FL In Her social media and simones tour has not started yet-she clearly could have gone down to FL this past week if she wanted to but social media showed she was with friends in the northeast. Totally her choice but if I were joining a new team in a few months I’d for sure want to feel a part of the team now knowing I’d be missing out on preseason. Shilese is A mystery to me, my best guess is she signs in the next few months to go next year. Maybe if Morgan ends up not going Shilese will be able to start on scholarship in January?

You must be a new fan of Morgan's because she's never had Florida in her Instagram bio or any other social media for that matter. Also, I'm sure she isn't worried about "feeling a part of the team" seeing as almost all of them are former elites that she already knows well. Also would like to point out that she has mentioned both on the Half In Half Out podcast and multiple times on Spaces (Twitter's "live stream" platform) that she is very excited to head to Florida, all in the last couple of months since Championships. Until she signs, like with Shilese, we should stop assuming things about gymnasts futures and allow them to share on their own time, what their individual plans for the future are.

While yes she has been plagued by injuries since 2019 Champions, I believe since she ended up making the worlds team the two years prior and has clean form on all 4 events, she should break into the bars and beam lineups at least

Aleah is back on bars training her Deltchev!!!! This team is ridiculously talented with the capability of winning nationals this year, even against stacked teams like Florida, Utah, Michigan and Oklahoma. Seriously cannot wait to see what this season has in store for these girls

I am not even sure Oklahoma will be really that good this upcoming season. I would rather list Alabama.

Kindler has that OU squad on top of NCAA gymnastics essentially every year despite what their roster looks like at times. She is a helluva coach, and her track record backs it up. I’m sure she will have them there again. They may take some lumps early on though depending on their injury situation.

Will add that in 2016, they managed to win nationals with virtually no elites on their roster out scoring both us and Florida who were the favorites to win, Florida as the reigning national champions and us as the only team to have beat them that year. Kindler is a master at work and should never be underestimated with what she can do with her girls

Florida and OU.... a tale of two cities Talk about polar opposite programs (from a roster stand point especially).

I am looking forward to seeing what this freshmen class can add to the team this year and getting Kai back. Gonna be a lot of competition.

It’s also worth noting KJ has no shame is competing easier skills that are perfect over more difficult skills that are sloppy. You really see this in her floor composition. She’s just an all around amazing coach and human.

Shilese, Addison and Skye are visiting Florida this weekend. Addison and skye haven’t committed yet.

Hard not to think Addison and Skye don't end up there based off all the connections but thats why you take visits and check programs out.

I am hoping for Konnor, the WCC girls, and Coen or Price for our 2023 class. We already accomplished a giant goal for that class landing Konnor.

Does the fact that Konnor says she wants to defer to try for the Olympics (obviously not a sure thing) impact recruiting goals for 2023 at all?

Not sure. We will be just need to be prepared for the strong possibility that she comes a year later. I don’t think that’s going to change who we are going after currently. Plus with the extra year of eligibility, we may have an extra year to fill holes depending if someone takes a 5th year

She has said that she is planning on deferring to try for Paris 2024. That’s her plan as of now

Utah is our senior night meet. So fitting considering Myia is one of their coaches now and Courtney and Garrett came to us from their coaching staff
